Geno did complain a little and kind of throw the race card out surreptitiously. But he kept working and it's now working out for him. He'll get paid, be it by Seattle or someone else.

Baker, on the other hand, has been a spoiled frat boy since college and thinks he's a lot better than he actually is. I don't know if there is a coach that can fix him at this point.

I agree he thinks he is better than he is. But I dont think he is the problem child he is made out to be either.
Also I dont think any QB that wasnt already a great QB was gonna be able to do squat with the coaching in Carolina.
So you put Blah QBs with that staff & well we see what we get.

My question is how the heck did he play so well in 2020? Guy was good for the year overall and elite for half the season (and into 2021).
Was it a mirage/luck? League just hadn't figured him out yet? Broken from his injuries (even looked good last year pre-injury)? Just a punk and didn't work hard enough? all of the above?

Well holy crap. This made me laugh. Geno (39th pick) started as rookie for the Jets in '13 and went 8-8. That's a better record than BM who went 6-7 his rookie year.

something to be said for that but most college gimmicks (like, say, a Klingler?) don't set the TD record as rookies and have another top 10 full season.

should have added an option and say lost confidence and not enough between ears to get it back.

To be fair, it should be 7-7 as he entered the Jet game down 14-0......but by rule TT gets "credit" for the W.
