Yeah, he only had 28 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists in game 1.

Clearly the game has passed him by. :L

8 years of carrying all these teams to the Finals has finally caught up to him. Lot of weight on his shoulders. Time to build around the guy, he needs help at this stage of his career.

Dude has 2 other all stars and his team has the leagues highest payroll and a roster he pretty much handpicked.

Not sure how much more help he can get.

LeBron has been the Cavs best player in both Finals games so far. You are a genius.

LeBron shoots 67% from the field to go along with a triple double, the rest of the cavs shoot 40% from the field...Where are all the Baylessian idiots to proclaim this loss was his fault...

He just can't do it all. Love played okay but zero assists. Kyrie shot like shit. The rest of the team did nothing. Lebron literally has to carry the entire team. They were down by like what 13-14? Then Lebron came in and it was nearly a tie game.

The Warriors collectively are WAY younger as well... the finals aren't over yet and the Warriors may get cocky like they did last year, but you can tell their game speed is SO much faster than the Cavs. Irving basically needs to pull his head out of his ass and play a somewhat all star caliber few games.

You cant do anything when a stacked team is on fire. The talent difference between the 1 and 2 teams is a bigger difference than we thought so far. Now, overall it is but having Lebron definitely helps. He had a great game but Curry, Klay and KD also did.

Other than a couple years in Miami he has been doing this his ENTIRE career. Amazing at his age and amount or games he can still play at an elite level against a team full of elite shooters. Gonna be difficult to win if Irving doesnt average 30 as well

It doesnt matter how much help he has if they dont show and would it matter anyway?...they are facing a team with 3 elite shooters and 4 top 20-25 players. I mean him and Kyrie have to score 40 a piece and they still might not win. Just too many shooters to cover

Sounds like LeBron may be a little hurt that someone out there created a more Super Team then his Super Team.

Yeah, that's what I'm getting at. He has put together a team that has won a title and could win a title in just about any other season. The Cavs and Lebron have done all they can, they just appear to be facing a team that had essentially a perfect storm of unusual circumstances happen that allowed them to come together.

The Cavs have a great team, but as I posted on the series thread, the Warriors just have too. many. guyz.

He just had a week off, a game, then two more days off. Should they tailor the finals to keep it to only a game or two a week?

I feel like they already have that schedule in the playoffs.

This is where having a REAL coach would pay off. The Cavs need someone that has Lebron's respect and that he will listen to, and not just because he parrots what Lebron wants like Lue. The Cavs should NOT be running with this team; they were very effective with the pick/roll. As good as the Warriors are defensively, forcing a switch on a Lebron/Irving pick and roll is easy money; Iggy can't stay in front of Irving and Thompson can't handle Lebron's size. Force the game to be your pace and play to your strengths. The Warriors tempo is wearing out Lebron, who is playing too many minutes (as he did all year). Pacing game-to-game minutes just didn't happen, instead sitting him out a game here or there. The team didn't learn to back him up effectively.
