Yep..that's right I forgot about her....and wasn't she allegedly his (Steve's) boss?
Or was it the other way around?
I forget. LOL
For as much time as I spent there I've always been fuzzy on all that. All I know is that was the only era in the 15 years of those forums that there was an actual credible attempt at site-wide moderation.

I was there for only 5 or 6 years...then came over here during the mass exodus and migration.

The trolling on the ESPN forums was half the fun of that dump, man lol. I remember Pheonix Marie had an account there advertising her work once where she posted a pic of herself holding a hand written sign with the forum name and everything, it was a wild couple of weeks lmao
Lol I do have some fond trolling memories on that site. Pretty sure I had 3-4 profiles goin. Majority just for trolling purposes. I was a damn menace on the Ravens team forum.

I owe the little quote under my pic, "Your retarted" to an ESPN poster from back in the day. I just loved the irony of a guy insulting someone's intelligence while misspelling both words.
Ha! Whatta retart!!

The Viking board had a ton of traffic. Miss some of the old posters.

I remember have a lot of conversations with Chief fans like, "Big58 and Dr Red" on the CSI forums... That's where I had come from... That's when message boards become very popular... Social media wasn't as big back then... SportsHoopla's done a very good job carrying on their own forum, imo while keeping it relevant...

I had a knack for getting the Ravens board riled up. Just seemed like the thing to do.....

Along with a few others, I'm a KFFL refugee. I do miss some of the posters from there.

I use to love the old ESPN forums. Nothing like watching the games and following the threads during the game. SportsHoopla use to have a big college gameday audience. I didn't spent much time in the NFL forums back in the early to mid 2000's as the Lions were exceptionally bad back then (although that has been the case most seasons as a Detroit fan the past 20 years)

ESPN forums were pretty fun, although it got pretty crazy and hateful at times lol. I knew quite a few of the Seahawks ESPN members at the time (I know some came here) but the General board at ESPN was a giant fiasco lol. Given that ESPN didn't really moderate all that well and allowed all sorts of duplicate accounts, it made it pretty interesting at times lol. SportsHoopla was a great substitute when it shut down though and these forums are great. Very few days I don't come here to check out the vibe lol.

I think the forums I miss the most are IMDB forums. I'm a huge movie buff and while the IMDB forums naturally had some toxicity, they still had tons of good facts or interesting commentary on a movie. The fact there was a forum for each movie and it was pretty populated was pretty cool, I never did find a replacement for that. IMDB says they shut it down due to toxicity, but I think it was just cost and upkeep of it...

The ESPN forums were a cesspool. The trolling was rampant. But I did enjoy it.
Very similar to SI's Fan Nation then. A lot of folks got banned here within 6-8 months (might have been even less) because they could not deal with a forum that had active mods.

Think @Wamu, @Mecca, @Cyder and I are the few that are left.
