I dont believe Boston fans would accept players like Lebron, Metta World Peace or Kobe. Celtics critics and writers would expose them and scare them away. Our press is brutal in finding hidden secrets other fans seem to accept or ignore!

The owner like any other owner will sign whoever can win him a championshp regardless of the players quirks and he would sell his mother into slavery if that's what it took. Don't deceive yourself, Boston is not better then anyone else in that regard. Business is business

The press will not bitch at success and like it or don't like it - Lebron has brought success where he goes. Cleveland got closer to the finals then they ever will in the next 20 years. Miami has more then they will when he's gone. The general manager would sell his mother to the devil for a championship - Book It

Most of us already know that Lebron is arrogant, conceited and worships himself. He thinks he is God's gift to the world and has convinced his minions to kiss his ass, and certainly is out for himself and is loyal only to himself.

I also would be pissed if my team was as irelevant as the Lakers are right now. Also I thought this thread was about Lebron and not Kobe?

Lebron is on the global stage and got bashed relentlessly before he won by the national media. Ron Artest really doesn't give a shit about the media in his own world. Kobe was being accused of r*pe and got bashed relentlessly as well before he won again in 2009. Carl Crawford is nowhere near the level in baseball compared to what Lebron and Kobe are in basketball. If the Celtics pride themselves on ignoring elite talent then that would explain the one title in 25 years.

The Celtics went through a horrible drought for sure. They had bad luck with Bias and Lewis deaths, then they were an over confident org and chose a horrible coach and had a silly GM who traded away players and picks for nothing. They overpaid veterans who were at the end of their deals and they would not trade away their franchise players when they should have. We in Boston know well when our teams suck, and it always starts with stupid decisions up top.and bad luck.

We are winning now in every sport, and we know that it happens with great management and team chemistry.

This Boston team is aligned, they have the GM and Coach, the picks, the young talent and a boat load of cash. See Boston Red Sox for what happens next. This is why I am going to enjoy the naive posters on here who just dont see disaster and wont be truthful

And by the way, our critics angered Clemens, Manny, Wade and others when they dug up their dirt: wife abuse, drug abuse, and the like. Many stars hate Boston because or media is relentless. Guys like Kobe would last a week here.

So you think that your media is the only media to ever anger a player?

WRONG!!!

My Celtics have won so many titles at least partly due to staying far, far away from headcases howevertalented
they may be. And getting rid of the players who turn into head cases.

Doing a better job than other teams of evaluating players who don't fit conventional molds is the Celtics thing.
That's how they got both Dave Cowens and Rajon Rondo, both of them generally considered too small
to play as well in the NBA as they had in college.

LeUnethical James may fantasize about becoming a Celtic, but they'll tell him to take the proverbial long walk off a short pier.
So why did they keep KG?

2011.... Grabs Bill Walker by his throat

2011....Purposely hits Channing Frye in the nuts, while he puts his foot underneath Frye's looking for an ankle roll

2010....said Charlie Villanueva looked like a cancer patient when he has a condition called Alopecia areata. Always nice to joke about cancer, though.

How do what the Red Sox and Patriots doing have anything to do with the dumpster fire that the Celtics now have? Danny Ainge is an idiot of a GM. He banked on Shaq being able to do what Perkins did and then some back in 2010 in Miami's first year with the Big 3. Once he was traded to OKC, Miami was able to do whatever they wanted given his defense in the paint was now gone.

Brad Stevens was great at the collegiate level. So was Pitino, but that didn't exactly work out for him now did it? You can't say you have a great coach when he hasn't even coached an NBA game yet. Silly troll.

Hows them Fish heatles?

OK, all kidding aside, I agree that Brad is TBD. I may run him out myself.

With regards to KG, love the guy. I dont think he ever delt with a r*pe incident of a drug incident or a attack the fans incident.

You can lead the horse to water....................

Yeah Big TBD with Brad. Could be a great coach at this level, could be horrible.

No offense, and although I have a deep respect for the Celtics history of winning. Alot of that came in the 60's, 70's and 80's. If you want to get technical in the last 25 years, the Celtics have one NBA title. At least with the Lakers they've been consistent at winning (3-peat going from 2000-2002 and the repeat in 2009-2010). I'll admit it, getting Rondo at the 21st pick was a steal. But we can stop saying that the Celtics mimic the Spurs front office in terms of evaluating players.

I always question Danny and his guys ability to evaluate talent. Guys like Jefferson and Rondo were nice, but a lot of bad picks and overall decision making from Danny. If it wasn't for the KG/Allen summer he would of been fired, which was during a rebuild with Doc and Pierce. He's gotta prove me wrong before I'll have tons of faith in Danny in a draft rebuild. He's made good moves with proven players, but when it comes to evaluating talent, I question his ability.

Make up your mind!!

First you say this:

This Boston team is aligned, they have the GM and Coach, the picks, the young talent and a boat load of cash. See Boston Red Sox for what happens next. This is why I am going to enjoy the naive posters on here who just dont see disaster and wont be truthful

Then you say this:

Hows them Fish heatles?

OK, all kidding aside, I agree that Brad is TBD. I may run him out myself.

With regards to KG, love the guy. I dont think he ever delt with a r*pe incident of a drug incident or a attack the fans incident.

You can lead the horse to water....................

And then this:

He is no genius for sure.

Do you have the GM and coach or don't you? You call others naïve and you can't even decide if you have the right GM and coach or not!!:L

The Celtics did get away from emphasizing character as much as they had after Red Auerbach's demise, but Danny Ainge has brought it at least partially back.

Part of the reason he kept Pierce and Garnett hang around past their primes was because he KNEW they were character guys and good role models.

Ainge, like most GMs, is a shade short of Auerbach in terms of basketball smarts, but not by much. I have little doubt that he would tell LeBron "You're not wanted here."
