You only see it as pessimism because you don't like the message. This team is not better than the Angels as currently put together.

I disagree. I know people say pitching wins, but that wasn't the case last year. It wasn't the case the year before. Sure we want to win the WS, but this teams pitching the last two years was not done by CJ alone.

This team won because we are a well rounded team that has middle of the pack pitching, front of the line hitting, and near front of the line defense. LAA has front of the line pitching, middle of the pack defense, and near the back of the pack hitting. Now it might move up to the middle, but Texas still has the edge.

I would be down with running Feldman at his current contract over Wilson at his new one. Feliz as well. I don't know about Perez, but Oswalt and Davish may be worth the risk.

Bottom line, we did Wilson. Seemed pretty in the regular season. Showed himself to be a dog in the postseason. Twice! Not an ace.

Lee for half a season was a #1 Ace. And CJ may not have been an Ace on some teams, but he was our Ace. Ace is just the top guy in your rotation.
