If I were the Lakers, I'd just focus on re-building, and getting the next #1 guy. Then build around. I wouldn't concern myself with someone that is only going to get in the way of development. I know it's THE LAKERS, and winning now is important, but at what cost with no guarantees? IT'S THE LAKERS! You get THE #1 guy? Others will WANT to be there. Love isn't gonna aid with that.
