Idiot is right Tomodach. Talk about raving lunatics. I am sure Lonzo Ball wishes some days he could hide under a rock especially when LaVar goes on national t.v. and makes a complete raving mess of himself.
I was thinking, boy i would be sooo pissed at my Dad.Idiot is right Tomodach. Talk about raving lunatics. I am sure Lonzo Ball wishes some days he could hide under a rock especially when LaVar goes on national t.v. and makes a complete raving mess of himself.
I agree. I think starting Clarkson at point with lonzo coming off bench might not hurt right now. The line up of clarkson, pope, kuzma Ingrahm, and Lopez might be better at this time.We simply can't get past this next hurdle and beat teams that we should like this year's crappy-ass Clip joint. Came close but just didn't get it done and we languish below .500. Luke needs to settle on a starting rotation and get guys acclimated to playing with each other establishing stability that will then lead to more wins.
Why is Lonzo getting trashed on espn? What am I missing as a casual viewer of the games this season. I watch him and he looks pretty damn good for a rookie.
The game will slow down for him by the end of this season so in my opinion I'm not worried at all. But I'm curious to see what you guys think.
Because he's been historically bad shooting so far (minus tonight in which he was surprisingly decent). He's been good to ok in other areas though I think its a little overstated just how good a handle of the game he has right now. He's great in transition but he struggles more in the half court than I think people are willing to admit. But overall, he's been ok. Probably C+ to B-. It's just that 1) Tons of people, not just his dad, hyped him to be A+ from the start and 2) There's a LOT of really good rookies this year so its a little more noticeable if a bad performance sticks out
I agree. He is a true pass first pg. Most are usually not great shooters. I also agree that Lavar has helped to amplify the critsim of Lonzo.Lonzo will be fine in the long run.^^^This^^^
I'd add that it's a combination of his being a true pass first pgand poor shooting in a league where score first point guards have become the norm and, of course, his Dad's mouth. If not for Lavar, there would be far less criticism of his shot and more focus on his assists, rebounds and the fact that his defense has been far better than anticipated.
He's 2nd among rookies in assists and rebounds. Because of his Dad's mouth, a lot of folks can't wait to label him a bust, so they're using his shooting to do it. That's why they only talk about his shooting and only mention his assists, rebounds and defense in an off hand way.
I'm not trying to diminish his shooting woes because they are real and he needs to get it to at least a semi-respectable percentage, but his Dad is why folks are so over the top in their criticism.
Lonzo is different then Todd M, Zo ignores his father and really loves basketball. Todd did not really like playing. He was never happy being in any spot light. Zo will never be a Marinovich IMOHopefully, he'll get his shooting woes corrected and he'll leave the shadow and oppressive quality of his father's whack-job mouth. When that happens, Lonzo's career will skyrocket. If that doesn't happen, we will have another Todd Marinovich and that would be a complete waste of a talent that only comes along once and awhile.
Too much emphasis is being put on Lonzo's shooting woes.
4 players are averaging 7+ rebounds and 7+ assists: Lebron, Russ, Simmons, and Lonzo. Bust lol?
The talk that Clarkson is outplaying him is again focused only on shooting. 9/7/7 or 15/3/3? Clarkson looks for his own shot too much to be the starting PG.
