I see this as one of two ways. Neither are good.
You just signed a guy to a ton of money yet felt the need to put this in the contract.
This really looks bad for Kyler & his work Ethic. Probably doesnt end well for the Cards if this a real concern.

or

The Cards are looking for a way out of his guaranteed Money & there is nothing wrong with his work ethic.
Looks bad for the Cards & probably doesnt end well for Kyler.

He had one trash playoff game (his first playoff game every, btw) and you would give up on him? There is a long list of great, SB winning QB’s that have had bad playoff games. The signing was a market driven, no-brainer.
I watched one for over a decade, you are absolutely right.

Hey, Kyler your issue should be with the team, they put that clause in, we disrespectful fans just talked about what the TEAM asked of you.

I agree, but he didn't even mention the fans. He was speaking to the media. Crazy that the media would try and stir the pot.

Again words mean nothing. Go out and win.

Even with the media, they didn't put that clause in.

Why would they not stir that pot.

Again any gripe from Kyler, you or anyone else should be directed at the Teams FO.

Arizona's going to probably regret this deal. Kyler's a *decent* QB with plenty of playmaking ability, but very inconsistent.
And he needs a clause in his contract to actually STUDY? Yikes.

How soon we all forget. 1 year after spending a top 10 pick on Josh Rosen the Cards went all in on Murray and spent the 1st pick in the draft on him. There is no way in hell they're going to admit that was a giant gaff, so unless Murray was a total disaster, which he hasn't been, they had to make this commitment.

One other thing people don't seem to understand is that the QB contract market gets reset annually....it is a next quality guy, in the eye of the beholder, that resets the market.

The deal that really makes me wonder is Clevelands deal with Watson. He's been out for a year, you have no idea if he'll be suspended or how long if he is, there is no way to know if other allegations will come up and if they're more serious. There are other things involved, like giving up on Mayfield, giving up capital, of sorts to acquire him. If something bad happens or comes out of this, the Browns might go on another one of those 2 years without a win kind of runs, and I don't wish that on anybody. I sure as hell hope they know what they're doing.

Wouldn't put it past the Cards front office to put this stupid shit in there and then recant. Which they did. Either way, I think the book on Kyler is still out there. I have much less faith in Kliff and the front office. Just fucking win and shut everyone up!!!
