One day at a time, one game at a time....we'll see how it all can come together. Lakers fans know the possibilities of either Nash/Kobe being injured can happen more frequently than a younger player. We have no illusions about winning anything other than to use what ESPN/critics are projecting the team will be at seasons' end, ie not making the playoffs.


This phenomenon only happens once every 20 years or so when the team has a rare chance of missing the playoffs...to be exact ONLY 6 times in 50+ years have Lakers missed playoffs. No other team can sniff that....yeah we've got lofty expectations unlike the rest of the league.

the test is not whether Kobe can play a few minutes in early October- the test is whether Kobe can play during the long marathon and grind of the NBA season

and we have seen that his body just can no longer hold up.

If he plays 40 games this year I would be surprised

Have we? I have no reason to believe his last two injuries were due to age.

And even if it was, B.Scott is way too smart to risk losing him for another year. Stick to 25-30 min a game and Kobe should be fine.
