The Pacers are very good offensively, they always put up a lot of points. You do underappreciate Thibs defense and are now underappreciating Indiana's offense.
Thibs has been trying to make adjustments to slow Indiana down. Just a few posts up you comment that he is going deeper into his bench finally. Just because it is not working doesn't mean he isn't doing it. Indiana is just not a good matchup for the Knicks. There was a reason I wanted the Pistons to play the Knicks in the first round over matching up against the Pacers.

Just makin things up now…

where do I under appreciate the pacers O?

Cmon man

And Thibs goin to his bench did work , they won game 3… DUDE

Did he try any other form of defense other then switchin up ?

Nah. No chance of that.

He will just move on to asking for the next coach to be fired.

It is what he does.

Pasta might be related to Steinbrenner.

Again, I don’t make the decisions or agree with big market teams who want a chip every year

And what would be wrong with that you crazy head , a billionaire who knew what it took to win

You keep saying Spoelstra like he available. There is zero indication that he is.

I think you will come to appreciate Thibs once you don't have him any longer.

In that response, did I say he was available, or did I refer to him as havin a good basketball mind?

Big defensive guy in the middle who could give Hali a shot like you want him to.

Yes his presence on court does fill the middle of court, but what da hell does that have to do with a draymond green, who’s an antagonist, provoking smart mo fo who hits 3’s?

You underappreciate the Pacers O by thinking that adjustments by Thibs should be able to shut them down.

If it worked why didn't they win game 4?

Does he have guys that can play any other kind of defense effectively? There is likely a reason you haven't seen it and it is not because Thibs hasn't thought of something that you have.

If they put Draymond on Hali he would get torched, it would not provoke him. And you had specifically mentioned giving him a shot early, unless I misunderstood.

How many adjustments you see the pacers make on either end, NONE

You ain’t shuttin them down but, but you can surely slow em up

Why would the Pacers make adjustments when what they are doing is working? That makes no sense, even for you.

And apparently you aren't slowing them up either. No one has yet.

I am a Draymond fan for sure.

But you should know that he is a career 32% 3 point shooter and teams literally leave him wide open to shoot.

Pasta just wants Draymond out there thinking that he will intimidate Haliburton and somehow slow him down. I don't think anything of the likes would happen and don't see if that is the goal why the Knicks can't just use one of their guys and his fouls to fill that role if he believes it is an effective strategy.

No doubt , I don’t see many out there that has the poise, confidence that Halli exudes

But, green knows what to do

C mon man , Knicks are the softest team in league with a coach who’s more concerned about the few strands of hair on his head then the team

I don’t know what games you guys are Watchin but nothin has been done for the pacers to make adjustments

ZONE DEFENSE which I have been screamin for all year. Closes gaps, which the pacers have been jamming shit down our throats , stops the run, changs pace of game and also stops cross court passes

Did Thibs implement one of them throughout series? You think he practices it, lol , like Robinson works on his free throws…

Look, pacers are the better team, but they are not better by much, and all it would take is stoppin the run

Easier said then done.

They are scoring on transition and secondary break before defense is set. Zone isn’t stopping that.

Once the game slows down and gets in the half court like it did second half of game 3, Knicks defense holds up just fine.

Pacers are deeper and more athletic. If the Knicks can’t control tempo they can’t win.

But half court defense is not the main issue.

To set up a zone defense you have to get back to set it up. The Pacers have not been giving the Knicks time to set up a zone even if they wanted to. Also, zones are only played as a surprise change of pace in the NBA because they are pretty easy to break down with penetration and kick out, overloading, etc..

Pacers seem like night mare to zone too.

They move the ball exceptionally well and everyone who touches the floor can shoot 3s.

McConnell is probably their most hesitant 3 point shooter.
