A lot of that is on the coach, and Phil needs to own up to the fact he really screwed up by hiring Derek Fisher, while surpassing/overlooking other more qualified candidates.

It's not the losing as much as it's HOW they're losing all these winnable games.
It's frustrating and wearing on everyone involved. Fans included.

But right now the team is a fucking mess.

It's only a matter of time now until owner James Dolan chimes in.

Can't wait.

Seems to me that D-Fish is as qualified as anyone to right that ship.

Please...that dude hasn't coached a decent game since mid november...and it only took him less than 2 months to lose his locker room.

George Karl or Lionel Hollins, just to name 2, would have been excellent choices....but Phil in his "infinite wisdom" wanted a puppet.

Let it sink. For once these idiots have a 1st round pick next year and they'll have money under the cap.

I'm on board for that as long as Fisher is gone.

I'm willing to give him a little time. Kidd was worthless his first 20-30 games last year, improved and is doing a solid job with the Bucks.

Apples & Oranges.
JKidd is more fundamentally sound and defense oriented than Fisher....and he was also a much better player. Fisher is a nice guy, was a very good player in his own right, but he's been severely outcoached
so far...and looks like a lost deer frozen in the headlights. Phil needs to upgrade there.

Did you remember Kidd in his first 20 games? He actually "dropped" a soda on the floor to get a bogus timeout. He was the laughing stock of the league.

Oh you didn't know? Its always the coach's fault, even if its only his first 23 games of his career.

yoga will probably be calling for the return of Isiah Thomas.

I'm sure the brass in Chicago would love that. Everytime they signed a bad contract Isiah was nice enough to take it off their hands.

Phil inherited a mess and a team with no assets besides Melo. Bad mistakes take years to fix in the post CBA era.

Is Melo a asset to trade?

Should have signed with the Lakers, Melo. Hard to believe how bad the Knicks are right now.

I don't know if we can conclude yet that Fisher is a bad coach. It seems that the players are having a hard time with the triangle offense. The Lakers were able to make it work right away, but they had a strong team already in place. The Knicks roster needs a lot of work.
