Get well Kimmo!

I think this is the end for Kimmo - I don't think he's going to risk trying to come back for one more year for this type of stuff
Del Zotto to the Flyers e5
I would actually like that, even if Kimmo didn't have the blood clots
Yeah I have wanted him as a reclamation project since Nashville let him walk.
It sucks that Kimmo is gone and MDZ won't be able to replace him defensively, but I don't think the loss of Kimmo will hurt as bad as it may appear to.
I'm not typically a 'sky is falling' type of guy.. but I think no timonen, and no reasonable replacement for him, would put the flyers in the bottom 10 of the NHL.
I still think it has hurt our playoff chances, and I could see us falling into the bottom 10, but I'd say we can still be a wild card team without him.
Grossmann can hopefully bounce back from his abomination of a season last year and a young guy (Ghost, Hagg, Alt, or maybe even MDZ) could pleasantly surprise us.
I dno, I'm very concerned. Not only was Timonen the best of the defense, I think he made Coburn a viable #2 (not world beater, but viable). Without Timonen, can Coburn step up and anchor the top pair? Scary.
That's where we disagree. I got pretty fed up with Kimmo at times last year (That can be said for any if our defensemen, though) and thought he took a good step back. Nobody will be able to replace him immediately, but to me he just isn't a massive player to be replaced at this point. He hurts to loss, but I don't think all hope is lost.
interesting. I'm surprised to hear you say that. But it's looking like we're going to find out which is the case!
Well if we do fall off this is the draft to do it.
