Haha! If telling yourself that makes you feel better, then keep doing it. If that revamped offense under Nagy clicks, the bears will curb stomp your overrated Vikings. We should’ve split with the vikes last year and we added a shit load of talent.

Yep I'm having to think CPT Kirk and Mr. Rodgers weren't too excited hearing the news.

Must suck to be a Raiders fan watching your team deal one of the few game changers in the league over money. With that said the Bears will be no better than 3rd in the division.

Pick a random pair of 1st round picks, and pick out what is better than Mack.

Keep in mind the Bears have enough cap space where the money doesn't really hurt them much like it would for others.
Plus they got a second rd pick, which will inevitably be a high pick as the Raiders are going to suck bawls.

Ostensibly they gave one 1st rd pick, if ya look at it that way.

If Mack does well in their system, the Bears will have a good chance at duking it out for 3rd place in the NFC North behind the Vikings and Packers.
lol We were gonna do better then that before Mack. Keep sleeping NFCN fans keep sleeping. A storm is coming.

With those two trades relative to each other, in comparison I'd have to agree. However, there isn't a person on this planet (except those with man crushes Jones) who think under any circumstances that he's better than Mack. How you could have said that with a straight face is beyond me.

You don't think a case can be made by a rational person that Jones is arguably better? Just look at the past couple of years which are most relevant.

The numbers are very similar. Mack has more tackles, but Jones has more sacks and tackles for loss.

I think you might be a bit caught up in homerland.

Well, Jones has had help. Mack has been the only player worth a damn on the Oakland defense.

Rookie running back Ryan Nall was the Bears’ leading rusher this preseason with 32 carries for 223 yards and received $45,000 guaranteed, but he still didn’t make the cut.

The Bears instead went with fullback Michael Burton as their fourth back behind Jordan Howard, Tarik Cohen and Benny Cunningham. But they might be interested in signing Nall to the practice squad if he clears waivers.

HOPE THE OTHER NFL NORRIS DIVISION TEAMS SAW THIS CUT AND ANOTHER TEAM WILL PICK UP NALL…LIONS SHOULD DO IT, HOPE ME VIKES GET THE KID.

ALL HEART.

Last year Jones had no help and he tallied 17 sacks.

Either way, I could see giving Mack the edge, but aren't we splitting hairs? Lake Shore was acting as if they weren't in the same universe.

I think any rational person would take the Jones deal over the Mack deal. The Cards got Jones for a 2nd and a throw away player. That was my point.

I really don't think many people see Jones being in the same tier of as Mack, Miller, Donald, Atkins, etc. Different tiers. Say it is right or wrong, but I definitely don't believe the NFL view them as being in the same tier, sack totals aside.

Yeah, it was a better deal. But Mack is clearly the better player.

Maybe not, but he probably should be. Again, my point was what the Cards gave up VS what the Bears gave up.

I don't disagree in terms of compensation. Patriots maybe messed up the leverage aspect of it, hard to say how much the league values Jones. Mack is gonna have a long track record of excellence though. If he's not top 5 in pressures in a given year, he's very close; has had minimal help his entire career.

Was pissed when heard but we got 2 1st rounders and a 3rd....We couldn't pay Carr, Mack, Gruden and e everybody else.....but we flipped a 5th rounder for AJ McCarron. Insurance in case Carr gets hurt and a major upgrade over Manuel and Cook....

The Bears had a good defense already.....now? Really good.

But, Trubisky needs another year and he doesn't have enough help on offense.

Still not happy about having to trade a stud like Mack but Marc is one of the poorer owners in the NFL.

Measuring value of two high caliber players is difficult. You could argue the point for either player.

That said, I would give the edge to Mack over the past few years. Although last year, Jones was clearly better.
