There hasn't been this much buzz about the Bears since they traded for Jay Cutler...
I thought the Cutler trade was awful when it happened because Cutler was just potential. He hadn’t proven himself yet. This Mack trade is awesome and well worth it.

“Trade official, source tells ESPN: Bears get: Khalil Mack, a 2020 second-round round pick and a conditional 2020 fifth-round pick. Raiders get: 2019 first-round pick, 2020 first-round pick, 2020 third-round pick, 2019 sixth-round pick. So Bears get back second-round pick, too”

Adam schefters Twitter account. I fucking love this trade. We got a second round pick too!

Bears acquired OLB Khalil Mack, a 2020 second-round pick, and a conditional 2020 fifth-round pick from the Raiders in exchange for a 2019 first-round pick, 2020 first-round pick, 2020 third-round pick, and a 2019 sixth-round pick.

The deal is now official. The Raiders chose to trade a 27-year-old game-changing pass rusher in his prime rather than pay him the money he has earned. The Bears came willingly and aggressively and will be more than happy to accept a top-end edge rusher falling into their laps. Perhaps the Raiders simply don't have the money to pay Mack. It's a good haul for the Raiders, but it will only look good in the end if they can hit on their draft picks. The Bears are now scary.

For now I'll give the Bears the win in a trade.

But that's a heavy investment to put into one player and if for some reason it goes bad that's a pretty huge loss to take on that deal.

The Raiders are getting roasted for the deal but I don't think that's completely fair until we see what they do with the picks and cap space. If the picks and cap space lead to them to having a better overall roster in the end I'd be hard pressed to say the completely blew it by trading Mack.

Tha Patriots traded Chandler Jones for John Cooper, a horrible O-lineman, and a 2nd round draft pick. Jones is arguably better than Mack. Tha Cards got a steal by this standard.
With those two trades relative to each other, in comparison I'd have to agree. However, there isn't a person on this planet (except those with man crushes Jones) who think under any circumstances that he's better than Mack. How you could have said that with a straight face is beyond me.

Fantastic player but 2 firsts? Sounds like a bad deal for both sides.

Pick a random pair of 1st round picks, and pick out what is better than Mack.

Keep in mind the Bears have enough cap space where the money doesn't really hurt them much like it would for others.

Raiders getting 2 firsts will help them rebuild real quick like .... They're not gonna be very good this year, but Gruden is looking ahead and trying to build the program up ... Time will tell ...

This all about Gruden showing he has the power, Clueless Raiders First they made the mistake of hiring a guy with a phony resume who has been out of football for a decade, next they give him a ten year contract with control. This is just the start of long bumpy road.

Isn't this mostly about Mark Davis not having enough money to put in escrow for his guaranteed money? The poorest owner in professional sports can't afford to give out a huge amount of guaranteed money when he has Carr and Cooper coming up.

If Mack does well in their system, the Bears will have a good chance at duking it out for 3rd place in the NFC North behind the Vikings and Packers.

Haha! If telling yourself that makes you feel better, then keep doing it. If that revamped offense under Nagy clicks, the bears will curb stomp your overrated Vikings. We should’ve split with the vikes last year and we added a shit load of talent.
