There is a new crop of kids in and entering the NBA. The era of Kobe/PP/KG/Nash/Duncan is coming to an end. Father time has spoken. Now the Heat are the old team and the other teams like Clippers and Rockets are the next to come up.

All teams can do is prepare and plan. KG can turn it on at any moment. That said, Danny really got this deal right

Lebron James - 28
Dwayne Wade - 31
Chris Bosh - 29
Mario Chalmers - 27
Norris Cole - 25
Michael Beasley - 24

You're probably accounting for average age of teams, which the Heat's are raised because of Ray Allen (38), Shane Battier (35) and Birdman (35). The core of this team is in it's prime. The Rockets aren't ever going to win with Dwight, the most mental fragile center in the league. The Clippers will always be a highlight reel team and that's it.

I was willing to accept Indiana as that's a well rounded and really well coached team. But to say the Heat are too old now is just laughable considering they're the most athletic team in the league.

Careful, bks will say you're still mad that Dwight left and that you need to get over it!!

Oh wait!! You're not a Lakers fan, so it's okay to criticize Dwight!! Carry on!!:suds:

Why is KG a hypocrite?

He had a no trade clause in his contract so he could have stayed had he wanted to. Then he was traded (by choice) mean while refusing to even speak to Ray Allen because he left.

Even if that does not make him a hypocrite it still makes him extremely douchey.

Clearly if Boston wanted a more effective tank they should have Kept KG and Pierce.

This. It does make him a douche. Him and Pierce's jimmies got all rustled when Ray left to go to Miami. The very next season they bolt themselves. At least Ray got another ring out of it and made the best decision.

When Doc left it was time to shift into the Rondo and draft period. Danny had Paul discuss it with KG first. KG went to stay with Paul.

This time Boston learned not to spend on aging stars, give away draft picks and trade away valuable assets for nothing back. Danny remembers the 1990s. Mitch K is about to learn that lesson.

I applaud KG for setting us up

Im having a hard time understanding why he would be embarrassed after a great 18 year career.

I was wondering the same thing. The guy definitely earned his money. Nothing to be embarrassed about. Age just caught up to him.

Mitch K is about to learn that lesson.

That he got Nash to couple with Howard and Kobe? They rolled the dice and sometimes it doesn't work.

Mitch didn't do wrong when he got Pau and hosed the Grizz in helping us to two titles....and Lakers won't be holding on to their precious funds when FA's rolls around next year and in '15.

Didn't the Celtics acquire BOTH KG and Ray to go with Pierce? So what's your point exactly??
