Eagles Notes: Mychal Kendricks the 'Odd Man Out'

This guy has really tailed off since the '13 season - I think he's prime trade bait after this year is up. Schwartz never took to him and there were some reports he was milking his hamstring injury during camp and preseason. Thoughts?

They may trade him before the trade deadline - game 7. If they get a good offer. It's a shame, because i liked him when they picked him. Similar to Rowe.

He makes a lot of money, which may make him un-tradeable. But no way he plays beyond this season if he is getting this few snaps in games.

I always liked his athleticism and thought he might prosper in a 4-3, but it seems he is still struggling, amazingly, with coverage. Najee Goode could get called up soon IMO. He's nothing special but always seems to play a solid game.

Sucks if you're a fan and have high expectations for one of your team's highest paid defenders.

Not surprised. When you have a good defensive coordinator you can't have people in the wrong place at the wrong time. In 2013, when he was better it's because the defense was worse and he could run around making some plays that other people didn't make. And we play a lot of nickel anyway. He's an expensive backup.

Ouch! I hate that this is apt. Kendricks was once the shining promise for this defense IMO. How he has dropped off so much is a bit shocking. I would say the injuries play a part in causing injury in his head. Combine that with new coaches and all the changes and he just lost it. He done.

That's not excuse making at all....you get paid to play. And paid a lot. I once thought he would become the core and leader of this D. I just think this would register as a bigger disappointment if this team had more promise this year. As it is....next man up!

Nope. I'd say an enormous portion of the American public does the same thing.
