According to the same poster, if the cavs sign him he'll be one of the best PGs in the league.
Also, he'll be enough to keep lebron in cleveland

They don't make the playoffs without James.....even in the EC.
He carried them against Indiana and for much of the postseason.
Sources: 76ers weighing trade packages for Kawhi Leonard
Lots of info in this article.
Apparently the Spurs are pushing for Tatum, who they probably know they won't get. Sixers are trying to decide how far they are willing to go to get Leonard. Apparently LA is the preferred destination for Leonard but as long as he can get to a major media market, he is open to other moves.
Who knows how accurate any of it is though.
Tyler Ennis won't be in any trade for Leonard. He was just waived by the Lakers.
I've learned my lessons in previous free agency periods. Everyone has their sources, and those sources are throwing out smoke screens.
My question: if the Spurs can't get a trade before the beginning of the season, and Kawhi is 100% healthy, what are the chances that he plays but just barely gives any effort? Would that make him look bad to teams hoping to court him? Would he HAVE to give maximum effort to the team even though he doesn't want to be there?
Legit question. I've never seen a situation like this where a guy of Kawhi's caliber no longer wants to play for his team, but has to stay anyways.
His contract was going to become guaranteed at the start of the new league year. Formality that had to be done to preserve that cap space.
Not the question. I'm saying from a hypothetical point of view. IF he is still there.I seriously don't think they start the season with Leonard on the team......regardless where he ends up.

I use Spotrac, but they've already updated to remove his salary. Zubac and Bryant remain as non-guaranteed.

Why is Brook's cap hold 33 mill? He didn't make that much last season.
The Bird Exception is for players who have been under contract with the same team for at least 3 seasons or are under such contract and have been acquired via trade and it allows teams to sign players up to the max. The cap hold for Bird Free Agents is (i) 190% of the player’s prior salary if such salary was below the average NBA salary, or (ii) the lower of 150% of the player’s prior salary and the max salary that player can sign if the players prior salary was above the average NBA salary. Kevin Durant, for example, is a Bird Free Agent and his cap hold is $25,852,000 (the 2016-17 max) because his current salary is above the average NBA salary and 150% of his current salary exceeds his max.
