Philly really DOES have that third max spot---- you have Simmons and Embiid---

the Sixers could EASILY get off of Covington and Bayless to accomodate the third guy- and then stillh ave reasonable players on reasonable deals like Saric etc....

to me, the team that both makes the most sense fit wise, cap wise, has the right assets to trade for Kawhi has always been Philly. Hes a perfect fit there into their cap, his position is open there, they have the assets to make the deal.

I agree. Kawhi is a perfect fit and I think the Sixers are willing to go pretty much all in to get him.

They really don't have assets to make the deal, unless they're willing to give up one of their big 2.

I wouldn't offer Kyrie up, but I like his game. I'd definitely be willing to part with Brown/Horford. Kawhi may be a potential rental but I definitely think the Celtics would be a title contender off of that Brown/Horford package. Kyrie/Hayward/Tatum/Kawhi can go toe to toe with the Warriors imo. Might not be a rental if they get close or actually win a championship. Thunder did not have a team that good but they're certainly in the mix to resign George, who is a potential rental.

Saw this trade the other day
To Spurs: Brown/Rozier/Morris/Yabusele/2019 1st rounders from MEM and SAC
To Celtics: Kawhi

That would mean a starting 5 of Kyrie/Hayward/Tatum/Kawhi/Horford. I don't think we'll see it happen but it was interesting to imagine that starting 5 against the Warriors.

You realize that Horford is far more important to the Celtics than Kyrie, right?

Any trade that includes Horford is a bad idea. They have no quality size and he is the ideal fit. Kyrie is more easily replaceable.

Do you have a minute to talk about Joe Burrow?

Yeah...

No way the Spurs of San Antonio will get in bed with arguably their greatest rival. The pressure can mount all it wants.

Still have Kawhi pegged as a Celtic or maybe a Sixer.

I'm sure there is nothing that the Sixers have that the Spurs would want other than Embiid and Simmons. It's not like they were a good team last year with young assets.

What would you suggest as a fair trade for Kawhi?

Got to give up something for Kawhi, I just value Kyrie more than Horford.

Which is precisely why Kyrie is the player you deal.

As you said, he is far more valuable and also more easily replaced. Win/win for the Celtics.
