Chip should have stayed in Oregon

He couldn't. He received a multi-season ban from coaching in the NCAA after caught buying players. He was deadman walking at Oregon and banned from any other job at the NCAA level when he took then Eagles job.

Kaepernick's people have said he would want to play in Cleveland, Denver, or New York so not like this is crazy news. Pretty much just sounds like he wants out of San Fran.

Kaepernick wants to play in Cleveland because he can't deal with the pressure that comes with expectations.

Funny thing is... Kaep would automatically be one of the greatest QBs in Browns history.

Denver, Cleveland, I don't care.

Please, for the love of God, just take him. Anybody.

I think he might be the only person to say that.

:nono:...Back in the day after Bernie Kosar led The U to the Natty he said he wanted to go back home & play for the Browns.

Don't blame him for wanting that. He may have his limitations as a QB, but he was utterly scapegoated by the SF front office and fanbase last year for the shitfest that he had no responsibility in.

York and Baalke are one of the worst front offices in the NFL and who the fuck would want to work for that besides those looking for a paycheck while looking for a better deal somewhere else. Now add Chip Kelly to the mix. An atomic Ahole and flat out sucks as a NFL HC.

Keap finally has options and wants out. Can't blame him.

Lets see. Dysfunctional organization that hasn't made the playoffs since 02, hasn't had a winning season since 07. Or reigning SB champs with top flight defense and pretty good WRs.

Maybe he wants to be the NFL LeBron. Except not originally from Cleveland. Or maybe he's good buddies with Drew Carrey. Either way, good luck with the Browns. Can't be worse than Billy Football. Right?

LeBron isn't from Cleveland, Drew Carey is though.

I think he's just looking for a home to tell you the truth.

If CLE had the OL intact with Mack, and Josh Gordon was back...maybe a trade for a vet or FA signing would make sense...now, with the OL gutted pretty much it makes zero sense to bring in a $15m CH at QB.

Mack is gone too I think.

I honestly have no idea what they're doing up in Cle. Kaep is a step up probably from what they have right now, but that's not saying much.

That isn't true about the fanbase scapegoating him. His performance was absolutely terrible and he rightfully got his fair share of the blame for it. The fanbase had been very vocal the entire season about york and baalke and tomsula and the offensive line.

Mack, yep...ATL.

I would go Wentz or Goff @ 2 and start over. I suspect that's what Hue & Co will do....If I felt Bosa was a true stud at this level I would take him and circle back to QB at 32, but I still think he's a misfit in a 3-4.

Now that things have shaken out a little more, I would even consider trading back if someone was hot for Ramsey or whomever.

Mack was upfront that he was probably going to opt out LY so they took Erving in the draft as insurance...hopefully he's ready to take over. Schwartz imo is not a huge loss, but he was a starter. Benjamin hurt more than Schwartz in this supposedly weak WR draft class.

Work to do for sure.
