First, I think nothing should have happened, but giving things to players indirectly effects on field play. But again, the NCAA is an obsolete, bloated, useless organization that makes billions, and back then we’re chasing down if a recruit was bought a cheeseburger for $4.99 when they visited a campus.

I hope the Big 10 and SEC break away from the NCAA and make their own league.
I think they will but will add teams from ACC and B12.

He can't because it is all he has.

As a kid, I got detention once because I was "talking" in class and got in trouble. A note was sent home with me and I had to speak with my parents. I literally told them "but everybody else was talking as well". My Dad said "I don't care about anyone else...I care what you do".

The defense didn't work then and it doesn't work now. You can't claim everybody else is doing it so you can. In Michigan's case, no, nobody else is doing what they did and the poster knows it. He is a troll or a bot...one of the two.
It's that last sentence that's true. IF others did exactly or close to what UM did? OK, I guess. But nothing close to that has happened.

So in looking thru these posts, I don't see any OSU fans OR other fans saying that their team can advance scout to steal signs and deploy coaches to other sidelines to gather intel without punishment. I have seen NO double standards at all. Actually, multiple OSU posters admitted to OSUs historical wrong doing and one called it "disgusting". I repeat, in modern college football, there is no record or evidence of a team deploying a coach in costume to another sideline. That is far and beyond a minor infraction. In the history of college football, that is a first.

I also said the HOU 2019 WS title is tainted and fake. I also said Lance Armstrong is a fraud. Does that make me impartial and salty? Should HOU keep their WS championship in your opinion? Should Armstrong's Tour de France wins be restored because other cyclists were doping?

Stop the whole act with everyone being jealous of Michigan. That is a joke. Why would anyone be jealous of a team that went 8-5 last year and now has another new scandal involving co-OC Matt Weiss. Federal agents are now involved...congrats! Sounds like a real dumpster fire if you ask me.

Stop acting like every school is involved in spygate like Michigan. NCAA Bylaw 11.6.1, which states "Off-campus, in-person scouting of future opponents (in the same season) is prohibited, except as provided in Bylaws 11.6.1.1 and 11.6.1.2", with neither exception applying in Michigan's situation.

You have ZERO evidence and continue to claim other schools are involved in advance in person scouting. That is not true. Your whole pathetic defense is:

1. OSU has cheated.
2. Everybody else is doing advance in person scouting.

This is why you are getting destroyed in every response here. Its laughable and I feel bad for you actually.
Other teams seem to have been involved.. a simple google search can inform you if you bothered to want to know:

  • Other Teams Involved:
Multiple sources, including a former employee of a Big Ten team, claimed that other schools were involved in the sign-stealing operation. The Associated Press reported on this claim, along with a University of Michigan source reported to The Athletic.

  • Purdue, Ohio State, and Rutgers:
Evidence suggests that these teams were either directly involved in stealing signals from Michigan or had access to information about Michigan's signals. For example, The Athletic reported that Rutgers shared defensive signals with Purdue, while Ohio State shared offensive signals before the 2022 Big Ten championship game.

  • Sign-Stealing Practices:
The scandal involved both in-person scouting, where individuals attended games to record signals, and the use of video recordings of coaches on sidelines.

  • NCAA Investigation:
The NCAA is investigating the sign-stealing allegations against Michigan and other team

You assume that. You can’t prove it. And, Michigan proved it can beat all other contenders without cheating.

You lost, get over it.
I know little brother cheated for years. I now Harbs ran from THE game. I know mi admitted to cheating. I know coaches were suspended for cheating and more of that is coming. I know Harbs said "we do it right" all the while cheating. These are all facts.

Cheatings gonna cheat. Desperation makes people do crazy things.

Keep crying.

You lost 13-10 this year to a 3rd string walk-on QB who was missing their #1 weapon (Loveland) and the team was down their all-nation DB.

Props to winning the championship, but the last 4 years we own you. Stop making excuses… you’re coming across like a complete baby. Geez. You can’t even enjoy your title, you have to fester on here complaining about Michigan.

THE won a Natty with a 3rd string. Try some more excuses for cheating.

Ok, so now you are trying to claim this is a Big 10 conspiracy? How should the entire Big 10 be punished then if multiple schools are involved? Should they shut down the conference or disband it?

As such, Michigan's actions were justified because every other Big 10 school was involved?
Why did Michigan play along with it then?
Why was Connor Stallions deployed to the CMU sideline?
Why was Weiss hacking in to other school databases and spying?

To me, its not a lack of institutional control, its no control at all right?

Did any of the spying/advance scounting lead to an unfair advantage on the field? Did it contribute to a National Championship?
UNLV, E. Carolina, and Bowling Green aren't in the Big 10, as such, they were at a disadvantage. So those wins be vacated?

Not to mention the whole Weiss scandal.

That whole coaching staff in 2023 was corrupt. Quite possibly, its the worst coaching staff in the history of college football. WOW...

There you go again.

It has been proven: Connor Stallions admitted to this publically on Netflix.

The fact that Harbaugh ran to the NFL for no reason also proves it. Why in the world would a coach who just won a championship go to a mediocre NFL team who will be in 2nd place in the AFC West for the next 10 years? It makes no sense.

Why did the Big 10 suspend Harbaugh?
Why was Moore just suspended?

You aren't making any sense at all. We don't know how deep the cheating went as the NCAA hasn't finished their investigation yet.

Tell me this, if the NCAA vacated the championship, will you still consider Michigan the 2023-2024 national champion?

You still haven't addressed the Weiss scandal either. Michigan and its fans who are defending this reign of corrpution look terrible to be honest.

You sound quite level-headed compared to many others on here. I admit we broke rules by definition, I just chuckle at calls for title forfeits and death penalties given the context. Michigan has already gotten out in front of this and done self-imposed punishments, I think that goes a long way. If the NCAA wanted to add some revoking of scholarships or a fine as well, so be it.

But I think these more rabid, extreme fans on here are in for a big disappointment, and will bitterly cling onto their personal truths while the rest of us move on and enjoy college football.

I already made a bet with my buddy this year straight up, $50 bourbon bottle on the line. OSU always makes me nervous because of their ability to recruit.. they basically re-load every year. Michigan has solid recruits too, and I have high hopes for their freshman QB Underwood
I am extremely level headed and have proven you wrong the entire time. Your hypothetical situations have been disproven by me as I dismatled your entire arguement.

Michigan hasn't gotten in front of anything. Suspending Moore and letting some low level assistant coaches is not getting out in front of it. Why hasn't Warde Manuel been relieved of duties?

Of course you want to move on because its the best case scenerio for Michigan. You will do anything to hold on to that championship....just like the Houston Astros. Its a terrible look. The chuckling going on is posters laughing at you and your paper thin defense. Your whole football program is rotten with corruption.

The funny thing is that you know that everyone else knows that the championship is tainted. There is an astreik by the championship and you will always know that. Congrats!

Then why did you spend multiple days talking about Ohio State mistakes they've made in the past and trying to completely ignore that JH was so desperate to win he'd do anything? And he got caught.

Oh yeah since you have brought up multiple times ann arbor's record vs. Ohio State recently I have two reminders for you. One...

1706311340100.png

And the second reminder is until ann arbor started cheating Ohio State had been smacking those wolvereeeens around like a pinata.

I hope you're around for the CFB season. Your completely irrational over the top homerism could be good comedy all season long.

Notice how his game plan is to say everyone is angry/upset/mad if anyone says something he doesn't like?

I was called "unhinged" and "overly emotional".

The tactic he is using is to play the victim and claim everyone is out to get Michigan. I stated several times that I would have this same reaction for Florida, Hawaii, NC State, or Indiana: I don't care who it is or what conference the offending team is from.

I even brought up Lance Armstrong and the HOU Astros as examples. I dislike cheating and believe the severest punishment is the only proper option.

The poster in question is on their one hundredth excuse and is now claiming that other Big 10 schools were envolved. Ultimiately, he wants to make this an OSU vs Michigan debate and labels anyone else as "sour grapes".

I would bet my life savings that if this was Alabama or USC, he would be singing a different tune. We can only hope that the NCAA does the right thing here and sends a message. I believe they meet about this next month?

But he coveted the Chargers job right? The NFL was just to hard to ignore. The AFC West sux and was ripe for the taking I guess. Patrick Mahomes is a fraud and Andy Reid is over-rated...LOL.

Pattern of a coach about to get creamed with violations and caught red handed:

Chip Kelly
Pete Carroll
Jim Harbaugh

Run to the NFL to avoid your consequences....pathetic!

I love how it’s “cheating” when Michigan breaks rules but “mistakes” when OSU breaks rules

You should work for CNN or MSNBC

This was one long rambling emotional tantrum. You’re free to your opinions. It just seems like this is all too triggering and personal for you. It’s exhausting dealing with someone like that… I’m fine with just agreeing to disagree, and we can avoid going forward

I like to analyze, it appears you like to try to mock people you disagree with. Those types are boring to talk sports with.. so, you might not get much out of me if that’s your MO

Rule #1 in a debate: If losing, claim the other person is overly emotional.

Not one poster here would admit I am rambling or being emotional.

However, every poster here would agree that you clearly lost your debate with me and reverted to ad hominem attacks as a last ditch Hail Mary.

There really is nothing to disagree about...LOL. Michigan cheated and won the national championship. Its really that simple.

You have analyzed nothing....LOL. I suggest you pick another hobby if analyzing is something you feel you are good at. Facts aren't really important to you obviously.

At no point have you put together a logical, coherent defense of the Michigan scandal. Your defense constitutes:

Ohio St sux and has cheated in the past
Everyone else is cheating

Mostly agree with this but I can see why Harbaugh went back to NFL.....maybe always wanted to get back to NFL and not some crazy idea to prefer living in Southern Cal over Michigan?
