I can agree time for radio helmets but you have to know what UM beyond what you are thinking other schools have done.
The allegations that OSU, Rutgers, and Purdue colluded to give Purdue Michigan’s signs before the 2023 Big 10 Championship are still out there from multiple sources, and not just Michigan ones

Okay when exactly did Ohio State get caught cheating anywhere near to what JH did while in ann arbor?

I know you won't answer this question because you can't.
definitely true what OSU did not close to that level....but I guess fair to say the tatoo thing is a form of cheating or at very least rule breaking.

I brought it up due to the language and reason being used.

Claims by others were that
1. Michigan broke the rules
2. Breaking the rules is cheating
3. Michigan cheated because they broke the rules

By that logic, OSU also “cheated”… it’s just an easy way to bust sloppy lazy debating.
The Buckeyes did cheat. However like in other areas there are different levels. THE got tattoos and the coach did not report when he was notified. That is the level of going 80 in a 70.

Little brother had a network helping with the cheating, had staff on the sidelines of other teams, and had a coach that was in the new saying "we do it right" all for some real on the field advantage. This is like driving drunk and hitting a school bus.

Yes both cheating but they are very different and trying to compare is lots of deflection and disengenous as to what little brother did.

There are allegations everywhere about everything. First did it happen and then was it breaking the rules. mi boards are not credible sources.

I completely agree with that. And was pissed at Tressel for covering it up. Since we're on Ohio State mistakes I don't like what Meyer did covering up for Smith either, fucking moron.

But like you said even the Tat5 stuff doesn't compare to the level of what ann arbor did.

Do you have anything legit to back those allegations up?

Yeah don't like Tress covered it up...but, hell, NCAA knew about it and still let them all play in the Sugar Bowl. Smith incident? Also different. Wish the guy was canned, but that one not against the rules. Been so long I don't even recall the case (not saying needs to be rehashed). Just recall Smith a POS.

Smith was/is without a doubt a POS. And Meyer knew but did nothing until it was too late.

From what I’ve seen these are not just Michigan sources. Big 10 officials.

It sounds like it just really bugs you that Harbaugh was proudly puffing his chest and then his program got busted for something. Just FYI I’ve never been a “Michigan man” mantra guy… I know all programs do plenty to get an edge. At least with NIL money we can see it out in the open.

At the end of the day, if all teams scout in person and through video, in that aspect I really don’t care how you do it. I think the Stallions sideline thing was ridiculous and it warranted a punishment, and we got one. I don’t think it was the reason Michigan was great, go look at those teams, they are loaded with NFL talent. Then, go watch Michigan take down Penn St, OSU, Alabama, and Washington after the scandal broke. If Michigan started losing you’d have a case, but they only proved they were the best whether they scouted illegally or not. IMO They were vindicated in 2023.

If OSU wins that 2023 game you’d get to use it, but the fact is your team showed up with a plan we didn’t know, we showed up with a plan you might have/likely knew (via Rutgers/Purdue), and we still beat you. I’m not bragging.. you guys just lost the game. Fair and square. We didn’t cheat to beat you. You lost that game. Trust me, as a Michigan fan I’ve had to eat loses to the big rival, it doesn’t taste good. But you don’t hear me whining about it.

some good points, but seems you think it warrants little punishment when an OSU tattoo scandal (that did not help OSU on the field)
led to vacated wins AND a year of probation. NCAA was so upset over what the kids did they let them play in the bowl game in which the win was vacated.

Now it's true the wins vacated not such a big deal and those in a title season means a lot more.....but that shouldn't matter.

If the punishment for what OSU did is under the guidelines so be it....but maybe that's the case for what UM did despite you trying to lessen it with the everyone does it defense (which isn't true)?

I don’t think OSU deserved what they got back then, and they wouldn’t get anything now. I’m not standing up for the punishment you guys got, I just used it to refute lazy rhetoric that was being spewed my way

OK....but vacating wins and the title not so out of left field to think that should be the punishment, especially since what they did was done to gain an illegal advantage on the field.

do I feel as strongly about that being the punishment as some? No....but it should definitely be under consideration.

Using my analysis hat: if we were going to get smashed with a massive penalty like a revoked title, I think they would have done it already. I think it’s going to be lighter than what many OSU fans would hope for. I could be wrong, it just seems like nothing has come through the grapevine. Even the one higher up in the investigation pretty much said the 2023 championship is legitimate. We’ll see…

Yes we will......cannot recall the other major violations and how long it took to decide. Guess OSU was one of them and thinking it took more than a year to conclude.

Oh no the season of mi cheating was one of my favorites ever. The "we do it right" team was even more dirty than those SEC teams that Harbs liked to call out. It was great. Such hypocrites. Such desperation.
Keep trying to justify their cheating. I love how far mi fans have fallen.

I hope that fella's around when the season kicks off. His denial/homerism is reaching maizeNblue09 level.
