Very good point. The timing is what is very curious to me. As I said, Chip Kelly and Pete Carroll did the same type of thing once their allegations were made known. They magically jumped to the NFL once things fell apart.

I do see the point that SoCal would be much better than Ann Arbor. No arguements from me there. Not bashing Ann Arbor as I am not a UM or OSU fan, but from a weather perspective it would be night and day. I still find it odd that he would jump to the NFL seconds after he gets his championship ring. Not sure I have ever seen that done.

I think he knew about the skeletons in the closet and that the book would be thrown at him. As such, he avoided it all and went to SD. My opinion only of course.

I do think there is more to this story though and that Stallions had resources and the backing of UM coaches and leadership. I also think multiple parties were involved and that it was elaborate. I also don't buy the whole idea that if teams don't change signs that they deserve to have them stolen. That is absurd. I am sure most teams rotate signs. Blaming unsuspecting teams is ridiculous in my opinion. The lack of contrition from UM fans is laughable.

Eh, when you’re new to a board you just have to learn which people are worth the effort and which ones are too irrational/emotional. I can’t keep up with all the hyperbole and straw men from a few on here… just thinning the herd lol

If stealing signs is bad, then it’s bad across the board. But we know it’s done by all major programs to some extent, so I won’t feel uniquely bad for doing it. We broke rules doing it, but all leading to the same end. To me that’s a minute difference.

And, let’s just join the 20th ce they and use radio helmets in college football, and not have these giant boards, rain dances, and smoke signal fiascos on the sidelines lol

I can agree time for radio helmets but you have to know what UM beyond what you are thinking other schools have done.

I brought it up due to the language and reason being used.

Claims by others were that
1. Michigan broke the rules
2. Breaking the rules is cheating
3. Michigan cheated because they broke the rules
