Long time ND Fan here 1969 to be exact. People have been writing ND off b/c of one bad game and the fact that they are an independent. The assumption is that ND plays a weak schedule b/c of it. Simply not true

Do I feel OSU has a better team top to bottom? Yes I do, do I think OSU will win? Unfortunately I do! Can ND pull off the upset? Yes, and here is how. The ND defense is better than people are giving them credit for, they can slow teams down, so the notion OSU will run up the score seems far fetched to me. You couple this with the ND run game which if it's working can change time of possession and rest the ND defense. In the end of course I want ND to win, I wish both teams the very best of luck and hope and pray there are no injuries the affect the futures of these young men.
Makes me a little nervous as I like our team a lot better when not given a chance.

The last 4 years doesn't make sense when looking at the recruiting/transfer portal rankings. I'm glad Michigan didn't have to play them twice in those seasons. Winning the lottery is one thing, winning it 4 years in a row is just crazy, and I love that as a Michigan fan.

Ohio will get the last laugh on the season though as they will dominate ND from start to finish next week. Should easily be a double digit victory, and likely the game will be over sometime in the 3rd quarter. I could see the results being a lot like the championship game they played against Alabama in 2013.
Well obviously I hope you get to take a victory lap after this one.

Herbstreit is definitely right about OSU fans that's for sure....I know some who already want to give OSU an asterisk should we pull it out since UM lost and no CCG title.

That's crazy to me as could argue this was the toughest path to date for any team winning a title. some may have beaten tougher opponents but to beat 4? Granted, if they win the "toughest path" crown might only be ours for 1 year.

My suggestion is to ignore them. I love that we beat you guys, but it doesn't take away what you had to go get to this point either and we probably don't win a rematch anyway. The consensus coming into 2024 was that OSU was among the favourites to win it all and while the regular season might have been iffy at times (narrow win over Nebraska, couple of goal line stands to hold off PSU, 1 point loss to Oregon, 3 pt loss to Michigan), they've looked a lot more like that hyped team in the CFP. You annihilated a strong Tennessee defense, nuked Oregon, and beat a really good Texas team. It's not undeserved if you do beat ND.

I think OSU wins, but honestly I think it's gonna be a low scoring game. I'll say OSU 22-16.

Oh, it's not something that bothers me as I know sports forums are filled with "fans" like that. It's free comic relief.

I think there is a good chance that ND doesn’t score a TD tonight (at least not scoring a TD when it matters)

I think the score will be pretty outrageous for a national title game. 34-10…with ND scoring a TD late in the game. 24-3 at half, and Ohio just burns clock for most the 2nd half.
