How am I insecure or emotional? Engaging in debate and bringing in facts is NOT being insecure or emotional.
A “fake” championship is not “facts”… that sounds like sour grapes.
I am against cheating period.
I don’t think anyone condones it. I don’t. But I also know the difference between jaywalking and murder. The arguments on here don’t see to.. “cheating is cheating” equates to “a crime is a crime”… so should we all go around calling each other criminals because we’ve received speeding tickets? That’s silly
Again, I am not a Big 10 or OSU fan...I simply want the rules followed in college football.
Agreed, but it seems like pretty much every year teams get caught doing some sort of violation. It’s not some unique evil to break the rules. People on here are acting like a program breaking rules is unprecedented, it’s not.
You are a walking logical fallacy. You used strawman arguements

Dude, you won’t hold consistent logic, so let’s just go on with our lives. I’m happy with the past 4 years, and it’s been 2003 days since OSU has beaten Michigan.

You really are  (all of your meeeechegan gibberish has nothing to do with the fact they cheated)

It's hilarious you can't even acknowledge ann arbor had to cheat to win a title.

U go gurl!!!

Strawman arguement: You said the following which has nothing to do with Michigan cheating. You attempted to attack an OSU fan in order to distort the facts and deflect away from Michigan cheating.

Well, let's have a look at OSU:
- Tattoo-gate: Jim Tressell resigns after recieving improper benefits.
- Boosters paying for Troy Smiths' cell phone bill which had been given to Maurice Clarrett
- Quality-Control Coach Joe Lyberger on leave, under investigation
- Hiring Urban Meyer after his 6-year tenure at Florida when 31 players were arrested for battery, domestic assault, etc.
- Zach Smith, graduate assistant arrested in 2009 for shoving his pregnant wife against a wall, and higher ups knowing about it but hid it.

Ad Homenim attacks:

Instead of debating facts, you attacked me by saying:

You take this wayyyy too personally and emotionally

You’re making up that it’s “fake”. It’s not been revoked, so you’re lying. Only unhinged emotion would cause you to resort to this.

Why would I as an SEC team fan have sour grapes over Michigan winning a tainted championship? Again, you assume everyone is a bitter OSU fan. Actually, according to The Athletic, 50 coaches were polled and asked to score the Michigan infractions from 1-5. Half of them scored it a "5", so stop claiming only unhinged fans, or OSU fans are upset about this.

How in the world can you not tell the difference between what Michigan did and other minor violations that occur? Be honest with yourself. Stallions had friends and family help him scout numerous teams and he even had a disguise and went to another teams sideline.

Do you not understand that when a person accuses another of an immorality (breaking rules) and judges them for it when they themselves have also done said immorality (breaking rules)… it’s entirely necessary to bring it up? To demand I not is like saying it’s okay for someone to punch me but I’m not allowed to punch back.

Sorry, it’s completely on the table. It doesn’t absolve Michigan, I never said it did. But it makes any claim of “you broken the e rules so your program is a fraud” involve their team as well. So they can either call both schools frauds or neither. You can’t have double standards

Because you say words like “fake” and “tainted” while claiming to be impartial? LOL
Again, you assume everyone is a bitter OSU fan.
No, I just know many OSU fans are very bitter.

Gosh, salty losing coaches used hyperbolic ratings? Call me surprised.

If people steal each others signs via scouting of the product on the field, which they do, then I don’t really care how it’s done. That’s the only issue. You can choose to say that scouting in the crowd is way worse than scouting on a video feed.. I don’t see the difference.

As for being on sidelines, to me that’s no different in severity as OSU giving Michigan signs to Purdue for the Big 10 championship. OSU was so triggered they tried to get at Michigan in a game they weren’t even in.

And it’s all an easy fix. Radio helmets. Done

Prove they cheated against Penn St, OSU, Alabama, or Washington.

You’re just mad they were a better team

Not mad at all. Ohio State's title is legit and meeeechegan's isn't. You're the one that's all pissed off. You're like a knock off version of the energize bunny. You just keep going & going & going while ignoring your team had to cheat to win.

But please continue to avoid reality.

You say to yourself whatever you have to to explain away losing to Michigan. I’d say it’s you who needs to address reality, and it’s clear between our posting which is the angry triggered one and which is mostly just discussing the topic

You are one chicken mcnugget away from a happy meal.

You know Ohio State's recent losses to ann arbor have nothing to do with JH having to cheat to win.

But keep pretending ann arbor didn't cheat.

You might have a severe mental disorder associated with meeeechegan fans that can't/won't accept reality. It's called super-homerism.

So in looking thru these posts, I don't see any OSU fans OR other fans saying that their team can advance scout to steal signs and deploy coaches to other sidelines to gather intel without punishment. I have seen NO double standards at all. Actually, multiple OSU posters admitted to OSUs historical wrong doing and one called it "disgusting". I repeat, in modern college football, there is no record or evidence of a team deploying a coach in costume to another sideline. That is far and beyond a minor infraction. In the history of college football, that is a first.

I also said the HOU 2019 WS title is tainted and fake. I also said Lance Armstrong is a fraud. Does that make me impartial and salty? Should HOU keep their WS championship in your opinion? Should Armstrong's Tour de France wins be restored because other cyclists were doping?

Stop the whole act with everyone being jealous of Michigan. That is a joke. Why would anyone be jealous of a team that went 8-5 last year and now has another new scandal involving co-OC Matt Weiss. Federal agents are now involved...congrats! Sounds like a real dumpster fire if you ask me.

Stop acting like every school is involved in spygate like Michigan. NCAA Bylaw 11.6.1, which states "Off-campus, in-person scouting of future opponents (in the same season) is prohibited, except as provided in Bylaws 11.6.1.1 and 11.6.1.2", with neither exception applying in Michigan's situation.

You have ZERO evidence and continue to claim other schools are involved in advance in person scouting. That is not true. Your whole pathetic defense is:

1. OSU has cheated.
2. Everybody else is doing advance in person scouting.

This is why you are getting destroyed in every response here. Its laughable and I feel bad for you actually.

If there wasn’t already so many methods used to steal and trade signs, I’d say this was a bigger deal. But the end result already happens all the time, so meh…

My suggestion? Join the 21st century and get radios in helmets

And OSU fans need this to be huge, because most cannot stand losing to Michigan. They need to have faith in a conspiracy reason why they lost. Sadly, they watched the games just as I did.. and Michigan largely punched them in the mouth and man handled OSU the 3 years before this past game. No signs would have made a difference. Michigan had great recruiting and tons of studs. OSU had their lunch money taken, and whiners on here can’t handle it. It’s okay. They could end the losing streak this year, although Underwood looks good.
yeah you keep saying "happens all the time" when if this were true why go to such lengths and of course delete texts?

I'm an OSU fan. Don't need this to be huge or even much at all if that's what is decided. In the end we have a title - arguably the first real one ever art this level and look like we should be a favorite for more years to come.

Beating UM would be nice but times are different.

Sorry, if 5 other cars are going 78mph in a 70 without issue, and then one gets a ticket for 78 and the other cars judge and point the finger at that car as bad for speeding.. it’s a really dumb argument. Context matters, and for some reason yoh want to get rid of all context (well, we know the reason)

No, that’s your MSNBC style narrative, I’m fine.

So what?
Can you point to anything OSU has done where this can be a good analogy? some type of cheating on the field for which they were caught?

I never said it’s a conspiracy, just that many OSU fans are leading the charge because they need to explain away their losses.. ones that were decisive and brash. Michigan beat OSU. And hey, it happens. OSU beat us many many times. Even amidst scandals I never said “well they cheated so their success is discredited”… I owned the losses. I’m quite a bit less emotional and insecure than you are in this topic.
Maybe because a few players accepting tatoos didn't really help OSU on the field?

and if memory serves OSU (and coach) were punished for their tattoo scandal and vacated wins......while it did not help them gain a competitive advantage on the field.

Now I can admit I thought at time it was odd punishment so severe because NCAA themselves knew what the players did and let them play in the bowl game but it was whatever. Broke the rules so paid the price.

You sound quite level-headed compared to many others on here. I admit we broke rules by definition, I just chuckle at calls for title forfeits and death penalties given the context. Michigan has already gotten out in front of this and done self-imposed punishments, I think that goes a long way. If the NCAA wanted to add some revoking of scholarships or a fine as well, so be it.

But I think these more rabid, extreme fans on here are in for a big disappointment, and will bitterly cling onto their personal truths while the rest of us move on and enjoy college football.

I already made a bet with my buddy this year straight up, $50 bourbon bottle on the line. OSU always makes me nervous because of their ability to recruit.. they basically re-load every year. Michigan has solid recruits too, and I have high hopes for their freshman QB Underwood

First, I think nothing should have happened, but giving things to players indirectly effects on field play. But again, the NCAA is an obsolete, bloated, useless organization that makes billions, and back then we’re chasing down if a recruit was bought a cheeseburger for $4.99 when they visited a campus.
Now I can admit I thought at time it was odd punishment so severe because NCAA themselves knew what the players did and let them play in the bowl game but it was whatever. Broke the rules so paid the price.
I hope the Big 10 and SEC break away from the NCAA and make their own league.

Death penalty for sure seems a bit harsh. Title forfeit? Wins have been stripped for a lot less like getting free tatoos. Granted ours did not include a title but not sure that should be part of the thinking. Hell we were stripped wins AND put on probation the next year (and went 12-0).

He can't because it is all he has.

As a kid, I got detention once because I was "talking" in class and got in trouble. A note was sent home with me and I had to speak with my parents. I literally told them "but everybody else was talking as well". My Dad said "I don't care about anyone else...I care what you do".

The defense didn't work then and it doesn't work now. You can't claim everybody else is doing it so you can. In Michigan's case, no, nobody else is doing what they did and the poster knows it. He is a troll or a bot...one of the two.
