Unless Walker is in the deal there no way that conversation lasts longer then 5 seconds. Even so they probably dont have anything close to what other teams can offer. I dont think a bunch of failed prospects and AAAA players will do the trick. Dare to dream though.

Rumors are the Marlins asking price from the Dodgers were Urias, Seager, Pederson (their top 3 prospects) and two more players.

Rumors that they wanted Corbin, Inciarte, Blair, Swanson, Drury from the D-Backs.

I wouldn't blink an eye. As long as Walker isn't in the deal, go for it.

From reports it seemed like they were only moving Ozuna for Walker and were asking the Dodgers for more then Peterson, Seagar and Urias for Fernandez. Price should come down eventually but they seem to be overvaluing their own at this point

I have serious concerns about Jose Fernandez's durability. If you're going to send a package that substantial, I'd prefer landing a guy who hasn't had Tommy John already by the age of 23.

You guys should be asking yourself why the Marlins want to get rid of a guy who should be the front and center piece of their youth movement, and still has several seasons of team control. The answer is simple and it is the same reason why the Nationals want to rid themselves of Strasberg and the Mets would like to trade away Harvey: Scott Boras. Meddles too much with how clubs monitor the workload of young pitchers who are his clients.

Yeah, no way I'd deal Walker in a package like that with our top prospects. I'd be on the borderline with Paxton though.

The thought of trading Jackson/Peterson brings back memories of trading Adam Jones/Shin Soo Choo.
