I have no idea about the prior conversations because I am too lazy to follow the thread backwards, but you most certainly CAN go through the WR to get to the ball and not get called a penalty. I have seen it many times, and everyone has an equal right to the ball. If a safety is going up for a ball and the WR steps in front then the safety is allowed to make contact (go through) the WR to get to the ball.

Jockeying for position is not running a guy over because you were late to the spot. He knocked the guy down because it was the only way he was going to be able to make a play on the ball.
