That punch might have looked pretty in a replay but Bautista didn't wobble a bit. If you're gonna swing on someone make sure the lights go out when you hit em .02
Notice Bautista starts going straight down immediately after he got punched? His knees buckled. Basically out on his feet but came-to before he fell. His brain shut off for a spit second and he absolutely was wobbled. His face was blank while Beltre had a hold of him even.

This is good for baseball.

One hell of a punch, one of the cleanest I've seen in during a brawl. Odor said get the FUCK off me little boiiii.

As someone who doesn't have a dog in the fight, I have more of a problem with WHEN TEX retaliated then with the punch. I thought it was beyond a bitch move to throw at a guy in his last at bat of the season against TEX. If you were really that heated about the bat flip, first AB the very next time he comes up is when/where you do it. Not being a pussy and doing it when there is minimal time for TOR to retaliate back if need be.

Joey Bats SHOULD have gone up spikes up and destroyed Odor if he was that pissed about getting hit. And Odor should have expected that Joey Bats would come in hot and GTFO of the way ASAP.

As far as the fight is concerned, Odor rocked Bats' shit in a major way and I, for one, am thrilled.

Trying to end a player's career with a dirty slide is a bitch move anytime and I have no respect for anyone who is a proponent of that.

Did the job, broke up the double play.

Odor likely threw the punch because, as usual when the Jays play the Rangers, he got out-baseballed and needed to stop the game.

It was a dirty slide and a bitch move. He went in with the intent to hurt him, and he got penalized for it the second time this season. That's not baseball. Fuck him. As for being out baseballed, pretty sure Texas won the series. Take your ghey Canadian homer shit out of here.

So throwing a fastball at Bautista earlier wasn't intended to inflict pain, hillbilly?

And the Jays won the series that actually mattered.

it's funny to keep seeing people argue all over, as if they personally have something invested in that little scrap.

"bautista got rocked!"

"odor couldn't even knock him out, he should be embarrassed."

"beltre saved bautista from embarrassment."

"beltre saved odor from bautista."

how bout we just sum it up as; two dickheads got into it, with one throwing the first punch before the classic 'rush and breakup' by the two teams. seems simple and funny enough to me.

There was no double play. Smoak was safe by a mile. The late slide CREATED the double play.

Bitch move, and a stupid one at that, by Bautista. Cost his team the game

Sorry, but a playoff series that doesn't end in a WS rings is hardly "the series that actually mattered".

Inflicting pain and attempting to end a career are not the same thing. That's the most retarded thing you've ever said, and that's saying something. If it was intentional at all. Consider the situation.

Going into Odor's legs that hot and high absolutely could end his career. It's clear you don't know jack shit about baseball or you wouldn't be spouting off such dumb ass things. Go back to the hockey board, eh.

Bautista started sliding almost at the bag. He slid totally over it.

It was a dirty play.

That doesn't mean Odor should've hit him. But it was a dirty play.

Also, intentionally hitting Bautista in that spot makes zero sense.

He hit Bautista in self defense. Bautista was winding up for a haymaker.
