Meh. Like Jordan has never done that...

He has done it, but it appears that he is becoming awfully concerned that somebody is possibly in the middle of a career that will end up being considered better then his.

He should put his time and energy into worrying about his Bobcats.

He was answering a question. He didn't just take to the airways and proclaim he could beat everybody in a game of one on one.

He was commenting on how he would guard Lebron...

"So if I have to guard him," Jordan says, "I'm gonna push him left so nine times out of 10, he's gonna shoot a jump shot. If he goes right, he's going to the hole and I can't stop him. So I ain't letting him go right."

James can go left or right to the hole. Ask the Pacers:yahoo:.
The 9/10 time jump shot stuff is total rubbish.
Look at his shot charts.

What was that Jordan? I thought you feared your place among the GOAT conversation? Did you just admit you can't stop Lebron if he goes right?

So, in both these instances he wasn't dissing Lebron, yet your LeVag is in so much pain. Lebron fanboys are the most sensitive of sports fans out there.

If James is near the basket, one on one, nobody is keeping him from getting to the rim on either side without fouling him.

You are making yourself seem pretty ignorant in this thread. Do you understand the difference between being approached/used to make a story and generating a story yourself?

People get worked up over the most stupidest things.

If i was a betting man and it was one game, I would probably take Jordan. The thing is, Kobe and Lebron could beat Jordan one on one, IMO. If it was the first to win 3 out of 5, I dont think Jordan beats Kobe or Lebron 3 straight. These guys are competitors and students of the game, both would make adjustments and take the fight back to Jordan. Thats just my opinion

Whether Jordan's evaluation was right or wrong is not the point. You claimed MJ was slamming on Lebron with these comments when he clearly wasn't. No one ever claimed Jordan was the best evaluator. You just get butthurt over any perceived slight at your crush.

while it'd be hard for me to make that kind of determination i'd say for the most part you're right. no one ever said MJ would have an easy time of it, but if the chips are down i'd go with MJ. i think that what most of us are saying...

a best of 5 with all 3 at their prime WOULD be interesting, though...

Right, thats why I said, if i was a betting man it would probably Jordan for me. TurnUp, seems to be taking it as, Jordan thinks he would beat these guys every single time 1 on 1? That why i used a best of series... You can use any type of series, 4 out of 7, etc., they have a chance of winning 1 game. Like you said, it would be interesting and my money would be on Jordan.

No, Turnup thinks that Jordan saying he would beat Lebron one on one means Jordan is dissing him because he's scared of his legacy. Apparently he's not capable of understanding that Jordan was simply answering a question about who he would want to play. Obviously Jordan is going to say he would beat them all. Turnup is simply a Lebron fanboy with a very sensitive LeVag.

You have got to be kidding.
These clowns have carried on for over 3 years now about a question that James was asked at a Heat fan celebration.

Did James ever go to the press and guarantee any number of championships?

Or was he having fun with the Heat media and fans when he answered the question of why he chose the Heat?

TurnUp quit buying into the media already lol. The preseason's almost here to occupy your time. Next time they play the Bobcats/Hornets make sure your boy shows MJ what's up if that's the case!

Only in your mind. I have presented proof that Jordan doesn't want to be called the greatest, I have presented the fact that Jordan DIDN'T bring up the "one on one" thing and I presented proof that the the whole "going left" thing was Jordan talking about how he would defend someone he was playing, while watching a game at home.

Man you sure have a Napoleon complex...

Incorrect.
And since he knows he will never have to play him, he can say whatever he wants.

Wouldn't the proper answer be that there is no way to know, because there isn't.

To further prove you are full of shit, your comment of me being a fan a fanboy or sensitive makes no sense.
When did I ever say James would win?

I have no idea what you wrote.
Who would waste their time reading all the rubbish?

I'm entitled to my opinion that Jordan is threatened by James success.
If you are of a different opinion, fine with me, but don't try to convince me of it because you already have and would be continuing to waste your time.

If you know you are wrong, which he had to have, then why make the comment at all?

You guys act like Jordan is the humble, egoless person.
His words, his actions, indicate to me that he is threatened.

Apparently he doesn't think he is wrong.

He stares at the TV and points out a flaw in LeBron's game.

From that ESPN article.

"I study him," he says.

When LeBron goes right, he usually drives; when he goes left, he usually shoots a jumper. It has to do with his mechanics and how he loads the ball for release. "So if I have to guard him," Jordan says, "I'm gonna push him left so nine times out of 10, he's gonna shoot a jump shot. If he goes right, he's going to the hole and I can't stop him. So I ain't letting him go right."

For the rest of the game, when LeBron gets the ball and starts his move, Jordan will call out some variation of "drive" or "shoot."
