IMO the only thing that kept Taylor out of NY was that his numbers include post season play where Hershel Walkers, etc... do not.

He was certainly worthy.

He shouldn’t have won the award that he did, he wasn’t the best back in the country this year.

Bullshit, Taylor was by far the best RB in the country. The Doak Walker award verifies that.

Considering how many great RB's from Wisconsin have been pretty mediocre pro RB's, I'm not so sure.

ANd your opinion is never biased towards wisconsin
He won the Doak Walker Award as best RB in the nation so I suppose the experts are biased too.

He won the Doak Walker Award so I guess in most people's minds.

Well, "best" is subjective. He was a very productive back on a good team. I've watched plenty of really good Wi Rb's flame out in the NFL

That doesn't change the fact that your opinion is often, if not always, wisconsin biased.

It was more of a career achievement award than performance above and beyond this season.

If you look at the top 3, they basically had identical stats, with the big difference being that Taylor and Dobbins had an extra game. Hubbard probably would have had better stats but Oklahoma State lost their AA receiver midway through the season and the starting quarterback was out the last two games so it was easier for opposing defenses to keep him in check.

My comment was unbiased.
