Smart (assuming he's the one that didn't want Pruitt). Pruitt is a really good coach that Saban was always really high on when he was working at Bama, figured it was only a matter of time before he came back.

This was going to happen as soon as Smart left for UGA. Everyone knew there was zero chance Pruitt remained at UGA, so definitely no real shock.

It has nothing to do with Smart not wanting Pruitt, it has more to do with Alabama being Pruitt's preference.

He was at Bama from 07 to 2012 before he went to be DC at FSU if'n I'm thinking correctly.
