The Orioles play three games against the Blue Jays this weekend. The pitchers they are facing are Dickey, Wang, and Johnson.

You can't make this stuff up.

In an attempt to be a bit more inclusive, I see the White Sox are only 5 games out of 3rd in the A.L Central. And, unlike the Jays, most MLB talking heads are saying they are done for this year, and will soon become sellers. Funny how just 1 game can make this big a difference.

The Angels are in 3rd place in the A.L west, with a losing record.

Same for the Phillies in the N.L East, who, at the same time, are only 8 games out of 1st there.

The N.L Central - Meh. 3 really good teams will fight for first, while 2 will fight for last.

And, last but not least, there is the N.L West, where 4 of the 5 teams in the division are within 3 games of first.

The Tigers are very fortunate to be in the AL Central. The only other division they would have a legit shot to win would be the NL West. They would be in the mix in the AL West but I think that they would miss there.

One thing about the pitching is they feed off one another's success. Like I said, the test will be to see when they throw a couple stinkers to see if they bounce back or regress to the mean.
