Yes...i think he was a great fit on that 3rd line. not a liability on defense and gave that line some punch offensively. at this point he kind of has to make the team d/t cap restraints.

I want him on the team. If he starts getting a spot he could end up a decent middle six option

Good move give the kid a chance. I'd also like to see Read get a chance on G's wing since he has the speed to keep up. This would allow Couts to center RJ and Akeson. I think that they'd do well in all areas.

I got a feeling asked on gets a shot on the left side with Schenn & Simmonds. He'll add speed and some nice playmaking ability to that line. I believe that Raffl will get the first crack to play with G & Jake if they don't make a trade. I could maybe even see Cooter getting a shot on G's wing too actually with Umberger and Laughton available. Which I'm kinda hoping they won't because I think we'll be able to sign Bobby Ryan not FA period.
