Yeah, Im envisioning Avril, Bennett and Allen rushing the QB and getting really excited.

and after they've done that a couple of times in the 1st quarter the QB will get ancy and we'll get to watch all the pick 6's this year from the LOB

I"m so curious to see the numbers…. WHAT a great pick-up … He's a definite upgrade of Clemons at this point .. NOW let's draft a big run stuffing DT to help vs the run.. OUR D will be ridiculous…

Uh, Jesse Williams and McDaniel? We have big run stuffing DTs, you just didn't pay attention to the draft.

We should draft WR, OL, LBer.

I want one more… Call me greedy…. Big Red was a loss for our run D and I want our D line DEEP… Pete likes to rotate guy's so let's keep that strong… I'm not saying it has to be a top pick… Hell wasn't Red like a 4th round pick ? Just get a another BIG strong line holder…

I guessing the deal HAS to be less than what they gave Bennett. That seems like the right thing to do.
I'm thinking they presented to Allen this "We know you want $X but due to the CAP we can only offer you $Y"

Love my Seahawks. Suck it Breaker.:suds:

We're turning into the Seattle Yankees. Not the bad 2000's Yankees where they tried to buy a team in free agency though, this is the 90's Yankees with a solid core of players that constantly added what they needed with free agents.

If everyone stays healthy on defense I could see us easily going 30+ INT's this year.

He's mulling over deal, first report was a bit premature.

And we've done it with a hard salary cap which makes it an even bigger accomplishment. The Yankees can just outspend anyone to get to buy themselves into the world series. We still have to do this all with the same payroll limits as the rest of the league. And some NFL teams take a "mortgage the future for a chance to win it all now" approach. We got to this level without mortgaging the future. We don't hand out backloaded 5+ year contracts like crack.

Schneidered!!!

If he turns it down, its going to be very disappointing.

The fact that he's back in Seattle is a great sign. It means they are close and Seattle is the obvious best option presented to him. If he wants a legit shot at a ring and a situation that will present him the best option for his abilities, he's going to have to expect he won't be getting some max contract. He can go play for the Raiders if he expects a team to break the bank for him as they have cap room galore. But your playing for the Raiders and have 0 shot at a ring.

I think it comes down to playing for the Seahawks or retire and go hunting ( some thing he loves doing). Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm not buying for a second that he's going to retire at 31. This isn't some Barry Sanders scenario. The Seahawks are the obvious best situation for him to join in 2014. Legit shot at a ring and he'll not have to play every snap. He'll just have to accept less than max money. You're on the wrong side of 30 in this league bro. None of the legit SB contenders can afford to break the bank over you. A 2 year Avril style deal would still provide you a kings ransom and the hunting is pretty good up here in the PACNW.

Do it bro.

They are gathering up pitch forks, rakes and torches in Minneapolis in preparation for storming the gates at the Viking complex in the morning.

Not true at all. Vikings fans have known for a while he would leave for a chance at a ring. I wish him and the Seahawks all the best...
