Watch out for this kid. He's the freshman QB for Florida State and I'm very impressed thus far in his first half of college football. He could really be something here in a few years, keep your eyes open for him.

I like "Famous Jameis" a whole lot. Ever since he came out of h.s. declaring to FSU. I watched one televised high school game of his along with an all-star game and I was sold. Famous Jameis has what it takes to be an Andrew Luck type QB. I see him declaring for the draft next year at the end of the 2014-2015 season. He just needs to tone it down a bit in regards to taking shots at your fellow QB bretheren:

I'd rather hear kids say, "Smack me upside the head, if I'm acting like Manziel" rather than "Oooh, I want to be just like Johnny."

Johnny Manziel will have to mature and set a better example for kids (and his peers) before comments like Winston's aren't warranted.

It might be only one game, but guys like him are the future of NFL QB's. I mean that was impressive what he did. I don't think he was a one game wonder.

No this kid will be a NFL type player. Big, Fast and good arm. I was very impressed and I hate FSU. FSU has themselves a nice QB here.

What impressed me most was not only his physical tools as we know he is huge, fast and has a cannon. What impressed me the most was his decision making, ball placement and accuracy. This can could really be something special.

"With the first overall pick in Monsters draft 2016, Bingo selects Jameis Winson"

Jameis Winston - QB - Seminoles

ESPN's Mel Kiper believes Florida State redshirt freshman QB Jameis Winston could be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

This would be after Winston's redshirt sophomore season. "He'll face adversity down the road," Kiper said, referring to the game against Clemson. "I loved his poise in the pocket... sky is the limit for how good he can be." Kiper previously made the same statements about Andrew Luck and Matthew Stafford, as well as Matt Barkley who ended up being a fourth-round selection.

Most of us that follow the draft closely every year thought at that time that Ponder never should have gone in the first round.

Most of us that follow the draft closely every year are thinking now that Winston should never be in a position to fall out of being the #1 overall pick.

The only thing they have in common is that they went to the same school. That's it. Two different type of prospects.

Agreed. Winston is everything that Ponder is not, I felt as though Manuel was much better than Ponder as well.

Mack Brown sure sucks at recognizing good QB talent. Add Jameis Winston to the list that includes RG3 and Johnny Football.

If ND had a QB we would be beating Oklahoma. 3 Ints 3 Tds. Rees sucks.

Famous Jameis today against undefeated Maryland: 23/32 393 yards and 5 tds. His season passing totals to date are 1,441 yards 17 tds and 2 ints with a completion percentage of 73.3%. Not too bad of a start to your freshman year.

Florida State is now 5 - 0, 3 - 0 in conference.
