Seems as though Jagr is mulling over 3 offers, Penguins, Red Wings and Canadiens.

Would surprise me if it isn't the Pens he signs with.

WHAT THE FUCK? Here's the actual deal on that report... FULL details...

This makes no sense. ESPN is reporting they agreed to a 1-year $2 million contract based on the Pittsburgh-Tribune Review. Note this would have been recorded about the time the amount of the OFFER was reported by many sources. The ESPN broadcast also said the Penguins have not confirmed.

The Tribune's sports page says "No official word on Jagr" and no confirmation from Pens, agent, or Jagr. So, this is exactly where we were a day or two ago, knowing an offer was going out, the Pens were the leading suitor, and that we'd here something soon.

BS reporting from ESPN. They are reporting something different than their alleged source.

I didn't think you were crazy or lying unless you were trying to fuck with us, but you made it clear you weren't. I just think it's bad reporting.

The fact that no other source in print, twitter, etc. has gone out in the more than an hour since you posted this suggests the same conclusion.

I have little doubt the Pens will sign him. I just don't think it's happened yet and that ESPN is confusing an offer with a signing. Could be wrong. Idk.

Curses! I stayed up this late for the sole purpose of getting confirmation that Jagr had, indeed, been signed.

lissybluebell‎ RT @ou812jay8: I bet Jagr is in Atlanta. No one in the NHL even knows how to get there. #Jagrwatch

Here's the transcript of the Sportscenter report:

"Jaromir Jagr returning to the Penguins, this according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, says the club has agreed to terms with it's former star. The Penguins have not officially confirmed the deal. Jagr hasn't played in the NHL since '08, he's been playing over in Russia the last three years. The dude is 39, he was a game changer when he was skating in the NHL...."

And here is the front page of the Sports section of the Trib.
