Plus, there were reports from reputable papers that said his whereabouts were unknown and no deal was made at midnight. Were they meeting at 1:15am? No posts to #jagrwatch on Twitter. No articles confirming on Google News.

I'm skeptical today. Some asshole said Semin got traded earlier.

I'm willing to buy it. It takes less time to get the blurb out orally on some quickly-taped what's happening now update than it does to write up an article.

Well, we've got some radio station and west-coast Sportscenter now, but it does make me a little nervous that there's nothing in writing yet.

Hopefully some young reporter who wants to make a name for himself, working the late shift and burning the midnight oil, didn't jump the gun.

EDIT: I'm also willing to bet IPW's friend was listening to ESPN radio, so it's isolated to just ESPN right now, and most of their beat writers are off the clock. I'm hoping they got the call, got woken up, and are waiting for their computers to boot so they can get the write up done.

It's got nothing to do with you, it's that people REPORT bullshit. Not people on message board (okay, sometimes them too), but newspaper, TV, and radio people. Journalistic integrity sucks these days. Don't take it personal.
