He has 3 more years of base salaries at $10.5, $9.7 & $8.2 mil. I doubt anyone would take a flier at him for anything more than 5th or 6th rounder without him renegotiating his contract to the $5-6 mil a year range. And that won't happen.

For what he brings to the field & his antics, he is not worth the money that he is being paid. And none of the teams being mentioned as possible trade partners have the room to add him to their cap.

If his salary was lower it would be a no brainer for a lot of teams. I think Carolina should trade for him. They have NOBODY at WR. A 3rd round pick is nothing for Jackson. I don't care about the antics. He produces on the field. Nick Foles will miss him big time if he's gone.

Actually Riley Cooper would miss him since there is a possible double coverage, ( or safety over the top) leaving Cooper in one on one situations....

He's at worst the second best player on your team (McCoy). It will have a serious impact.

Oh I'm not arguing that, like I said he commands a double team 75% of the snaps, given others a better chance of making catches...

Good point...and one that often goes undetected for people that don't see the guy play every week...same thing for Mike Wallace...a lot of his value goes unseen.

That said...these fast, stretch the field guys are probably going to be less in demand (especially if Wallace doesn't deliver in MIA) in favor of the taller more physical guy when it comes to paying top dollar.

Not the point, same type of player was the point, but I don't disagree. Probably why Jackson wants more $ now.

Legitimate burners are absolutely difference makers. But Mike Wallace isn't that good.

Wallace is not worth is contract in MIA, but from a person that's watch the vast majority of his games as a pro...he's more than just a one trick pony. Any player that on every play has the attention of the FS is worth a lot of money in the NFL...without question a difference maker.

That said, I don't think we're going to see many more strictly burner types get $60 mil.

Funny because if he had been signed by the pats he would be well worth it because he'd take the safety out of the game yet in Miami that's not the case...haha! Wait and see what happens when they fix the oline and give Tanny a little more time plus one more year of chemistry then we’ll see what you think my friend.

I wouldn't take mike Wallace at a third of his contract. He's nothing special.

It's true that his contract is high as most FA's are but you are definitely in the minority as his contract wasn't created because the Fins were just being generous there was a bidding war for his services. We'll see what happens this year as it will give us a better view of his worth not the word from a hater.

It happened because Miami has to overpay for talent to be willing to go there and because he was undeservedly overhyped.

Ya ok whatever you think we'll see what happens next year. All I know is that over the years the guy has made big plays I have no doubt that he'll open up space for the other receivers especially with a better oline. But since you know it all I guess it's guaranteed that he won't and the Fins won't beat the pats....oh wait they almost won both last year even with the shitiest line! Will be fun seeing guys like you eat it...

You're not a contender. You're not going to be either. Maybe in a different division you'd have a shot, but New England is going to run all kinds of train on you. Again.

You couldn't even beat the team with 4 all pros on IR and you think there's a chance you contend with the upgraded and less injured version this year?

Wow now injuries are an excuse.....FYI the Fins did beat your team of the century last year are you that dellusional? Could have been twice if it weren't for the ridiculous batting the ball play and Shermans insane play calling. Either way no one's saying that your teams garbage but you may want to prepare yourself for a steady slide back to mediocrity as brady isn't getting any younger....
