This is a pretty good signing. They got him at about what I thought his market price would be so they didn't completely overpay for his services. He is a very hot and cold player though. If he is on then he is really on and watch out. Otherwise he can have some games he just gets blown up. So be prepared to have some games where you are praising his name and the next week be ready to cuss his name.

Sheard is a stud in the run game but a bit of a dud at getting pressure on the passer. He really is a throwback 4-3 LDE more than anything else.

Crazy the misconceptions out there about this guy. Some people are saying he'll be a situational pass rusher for the Patriots. He'll be the guy the situational pass rusher comes in for on 3rd down.
