I just think he's going the wrong way. He's on the wrong side of 30. I think teams would have just waited them out.
you can think that. But why wouldnt you try? ........edge rushers are golden.......and some teams may want a rental for a superbowl run.......

but there's my point and his. They didn't try, it was just cool , peace, see yah......

Maybe they felt they owed it to him after a decade of busting his ass for an often average or below average team.

fishing wouldnt hurt, but I dont think they would have gotten any bites.
I believe everyone knew he was gonna be gone so just wait & now you dont pay him his 17 mil. or whatever it was. he is a FA.

Yep and the Bills offer a better shot at the Super Bowl than Pittsburgh. And signing him would allow the Bills to use their 1st rounder elsewhere.
Not sure what JJs going to get now but Buffalo currently has $1.5M available in cap space.

Pittsburgh will be the 3rd best team in the AFC North, with or without JJ.

Even before the Watt release, the Bills have been considering freeing up substantial cap space by releasing several high priced veterans over the age of 30. One article has the Bills releasing John Brown, Cole Beasly, Quinton Jefferson, and Vernon Butler, for a combined savings of $28 million.

Even though he's been released... Seattle will somehow trade their 2023/2024 first rounders for Watt..

Watt is a great talent, but I would not pay a premium price to sign him. Odds are he gives you no more than 5 games.

If you can get him on a discount $6-8/year I think it is definitely worth it bc he is still a force in this league. Honestly, would rather the Browns pay like Carl Lawson though

Watt said he would be willing to work with a teams’ cap as far as price. I don’t think he will get more than $12M...as he shouldn’t. If a team pays more than that they are getting desperate

I'd take that bet that he plays more than 5 games. I think he is more likely to play 16 than 5
