Totally agree but between the 4 NO linemen who had their suspensions overturned in Bountygate and Adrian Peterson's ban, he should have started to get the hint that he sucks at it. Brady's over the top suspension is simply a means for Goodell to show he's now a born again tough guy. He's just trying to protect his $40M salary, I get that.
If Goodell had any nads he'd have suspended Brady for a year.

Sorry, not buying the "He makes money" rationale. Short term gains at the expense of the long term survival of the league is not good for anyone involved. Whether they realize it or not.

That is the way it should be. You obviously never played the game.

...a friggin' high school player should have known the proper drop. TV viewer's comments won't DQ a player for an infraction like snapping a twig on a practice swing that the player didn't even know he caused but Tiger dropping improperly was not that sort of thing.

...and for golfers, remember that he hit a fucking perfect shot into 15 and it hit the flagstick and the spin brought it back into the creek.

In golf you're expected to play by the rules. In games where there's officiating, you're expected to try to get away with breaking them ie, holding, fouling.

Thanks for enlightening us with what officials do. Here's what Roger does on top of what officials do on game day.

Seriously, this has gotten way out of hand...stop the madness!

Huh? Not sure what you're snarking about but I don't see holding on that list.

He must be, he didn't penalize Dez for running on field w/o helmet to argue a call with the Refs. I guess with Goodell's first NFL job was with the Jets, they have no animousity with Dallas

The long term survival of the game is at risk because of Goddell? I gotta hear your rationale for that.

Anyone want to take a guess who the lead owner is that negotiates the tv contracts?

Goodell has nearly nothing to do with the current revenue stream coming into the NFL. A friggen potato could pull of a similar revenue stream.

Everyone knows TV revenue is the Bell Cow of the NFL, and the ratings dictate the value of the next TV contract...Roger is in the room, probably setting the table, keep topics, moving, etc. but he's not making anything happen in that room.
