lol, yea this league is loosely run. They keep stats and shit, but it's indoor, so the rules are a little whacky. I was setting up hockey plays. It worked on one of our goals.

I actually surprised myself. I did an Ovechkin self pass off the wall, then passed along the boards all the way down it went by two defenders and my forward was just waiting there (no offsides in indoor) and banked it in.

I also ran full steam at one point and completely could not stop for the ball and did a front somersault over the thing, but bounced right back up. The entire place was laughing at me.

indoor is fun ... my 4 year old son is in lessons on friday nights and its intro kinda stuff so we play games of 2 on 2 in father(or mother) son(or daughter) pairings

we are supposed to "gently" dribble with the ball hand in hand with our respective child and then let go of their hands when they eventually feel comfortable enough to dribble against each other

more times than not the kids end up getting frustrated and have meltdowns (i personally have only had one meltdown) and what happens is we parents end up having mini-games

good times

I have a confession to make:

I, PP48, have secretly purchased/had purchased for me NHL merchandise during the lockout. 1. I got an NHL goal light for my man cave as an xmas gift. 2. I was given a Minnesota Wild Parise jersey for xmas as well.

I apologize.

What is my punishment?

It doesn't matter. People will forget the lockout ever happened in a day or two.

only the bruins he is still watching the NHL sabres and flyers (strange but thats his stance)

No, I said I won't watch again for years. I'll root for the Flyers and Sabres to win but I won't attend/watch/give a fuck about the NHL for another 4-5 years. I'm not setting myself up for ANOTHER lockout when this CBA is over.

As much as I loathe the NHL/PA and Jacobs for being the frontrunner in this shitstorm, I just can't not watch. Even though I touted it on here and on FB, I just need NHL in my life. It is my pass time.

Fuck I can't wait for playoff action. It's like a month away.

I think the answer if you are pissed off and don't want to give them your money is - watch on TV! The NHL is VERY dependent on revenue at the gate. A very rough esimate (can't find any recent breakdowns) is that the NHL operates on roughly 50% of their money coming from tickets, roughly 25% coming from media/advertising revenues, and another 25% coming from concessions and merchandise sales.

So, if you just don't attend games, you are cutting off 75% of the sources where they draw revenue from. And you can still enjoy cheering on your team from the comfort of your home (or a bar or wherever) while not contributing much to their bottom line.
