There's been a disturbing amount of people on twitter who are trying to control people's emotions on the lockout ending. I understand not being really excited, but don't rain on the parade of those who are.

Being fair to myself, I wasn't even considering the lowering cap aspect. I was in denial about the lockout. But in retrospect: thank God. I was just caught up in the beautiful thought of Parise on a line with Neal and Malkin. I can't...I can't...*sigh* NO ERIN NO!

We're gonna be so overloaded with hockey soon. Going from absolutely nothing to four games a week within 2ish weeks. AND I'M SO EXCITED.

Well my team has a payroll of 50,215,746, which means they have almost 20M in cap space. I know it won't be spent, but what's interesting is this offseason the Islanders will have 15,340,000 coming off the books at the end of the year. Going into next offseason the Islanders will have 34,875,746 in payroll. You better sign some big time UFA's Garth.
