"draft: all non playoff teams have equal chance at #1 pick"

There goes half of the CBJ Strategy.

I feel like I should be more excited about this news, but its just...ugh.

This is devastating to the Blue Jackets. They *might* have survived a wiped season with legitimate deferred losses and holding off creditors, but with everything they laid out for the ASG, half a season's worth of revenues isn't going to help when they go bankrupt and everyone comes picking at the carcass. Well, it was fun living in an NHL city for a while at least. 2 years left, tops.

fuck this sucks. its a money grab noone had any care about the game they just wanted to get it done to get some billions. they make me sick. canucks fans are going to wish it was a full season lockout.

on that note this CBA better be fucking air tight and fair to both sides if not then the whole fucking thing was wasted time which I believe it was anyway. fuck them

How long is it for? 4 more years?

I don't really care that it's over, the only reason i will be going to games is because the fuckers already have my money.

I pretty much HAVE to re-buy my tickets if I expect my team to stand ANY chance of survival. And I have to hope everyone else does too.

HTML:

The biggest miscalculation by the nhl and nhlpa during this lockout is not being able to realize there are cheaper "night out with the family" alternatives that its devoted fans were too blind to realize existed

Im gonna love watching nhl games on tv

Me, the Mrs and two biscuits with Club level seats, meals for an OSU game for less than one ticket in the nosebleeds to watch the donkey fucking that Howson assembled.

They were going to switch with Columbus, but the league shot that down...

It's almost like they don't want us anymore...

regarding nhl center ice being free. it probably won't happen

Free NHL Center Ice probably won't happen - SBNation.com

Never underestimate the power of verbal abuse. I have not paid for center ice for three years. I don't intend to this year. I also have not paid for Sunday Ticket for two years. And I don't really care about football.

seriously however once the trades move and signings begin people will be very positive.

Maybe JD will help. Otherwise, I have no anticipated excitement at Howson overseeing this. All I can hope is that the Ranger$ cannot afford Nash. And that some idiot will want Dubinski.

Checked w/a couple GMs and they anticipated an early April trade deadline. @Real_ESPNLeBrun reporting that league suggesting April 5.

I'd prefer April 1st (jokes write themselves)

NHL Board meeting to ratify CBA will be in NYC on Tuesday at the earliest, Wednesday at the latest.

Unfortunately, February is the month where the Red Wings lose half of their players to injury.

Can we start up the season in March?

Hey Flyers fans, go to hell.

Ah, that felt good. Enough of this friendly banter.

I'll try & help out if I can. The Wild will have one appearence there, & I will try to make it. Columbus is the closest NHL city to me, & I don't want to travel to Detroit or Chicago for a game, so it's in my best interest if the Jackets stick around.

with what cap space?
in related news (Pronger) players on LTIR are not eligible for buyouts
But I don't think you are personally winning by denying yourself something you love completely (not even watching on TV).
I love it a little less than I did a few months ago. Like others have said, I'll watch it on TV, but I can't imagine at this point spending another dollar on the league. they simply don't deserve it.

I was actually a little upset that my wife recently bought a Canucks trash can for the pool room.
until she told me she got it at the dollar store ($2!), so its unlikely that it was officially licensed product. :D

That reminds me, if the NHL wants my game money again they gotta go back to the old way NHL On The Fly use to be with highlights having the original commentaries and not the hosts talking over plays. Not that NHL Tonight sportscenter wannabe shit

Didn't think there would be any NHL this season. Pretty cool I guess. Now we'll see just how long it takes me to warm back up to the league. Gotta say I'm well within the yellow part of the map above right now.
