This is a joke. Iginla has been a Penguin for a day and he's captain? Captain is more than a title. It's the heart and soul of the team. It's blood, sweat and tears (And if I die is a great song...btw) . Now, all of Iginlas good deeds in Calgary, frankly, mean squat to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Sid is captain. Jarome is a loyal foot soldier. And that's all I have to say about that.

RE: the game. Wow. What a team. What a game. Still can't believe my eyes with Iginla out there. He looked very comfortable when you consider he had zero prep time. Got in at 1230 to PIT (apparently he missed his connection in CHI, so the Pens basically sent their plane), gets into CEC early morning, decides he's too anxious to wait. You could tell through his goodbye presser that it was killing him not being on the ice. I just wanna see him win it so badly.

Sid's injury, while gruesome looking, seems very much like it could be a teeth-only thing. I mean, that stinks, but it won't hold you out of a game. I could see him being back Tuesday with a cage. HOWEVER, the jaw is in jeopardy obviously, and that's a different story. That said, most of the news about it seems to be focused on the oral surgery. Of course, they wouldn't do an emergency jaw-restructure. Hopefully it's just teeth though.

That's about what I'd give him. Two games for recklessness. I think he was just trying to knock Bailey out of the way as they both chased the puck, but Bailey turned away instead of pursuing the puck, so the hit went straight to his numbers instead of his shoulders.

Reckless, but there was no intent.

I'd give a game for that. Not really egregious. Hit a guy in a vulnerable spot though, gotta pay for that. It was more of a shoulder than the typical two hand cross into the boards.

#87update. Can confirm #Penguins Crosby had surgery yesterday to his jaw. Extent of the damage still being evaluated 2day. Out indefinitely
