I wonder if Howie will take a flyer on this guy.
Maybe he didn't want to play in Philly? Shanahan was was his OC a couple of years ago so perhaps it was a comfort thing for him, go to play for his old coach
Meh... maybe an Ajayi replacement in the rotation, but he wasn't all that for the Jets last year either.
He's really pretty average all around. Honestly I think he's mckinnonish and I like neither, but I think Shanahan is really good so we'll see.We must have really not wanted Coleman. Just 3.6 mil year one with no Signing Bonus ... so he can be cut after the following season without any dead money.
Tevin Coleman's contract with the 49ers is worth just $8.5 million over two years.
It was originally reported as a $10 million contract, but that is the max value ($10.6 million). Even worse, the deal does not come with a signing bonus and pays him just $3.6 million in year one, giving the 49ers the option to cleanly get out after one season. The team-friendly deal means the 49ers should be able to keep Jerick McKinnon is they so choose.
