Meh... maybe an Ajayi replacement in the rotation, but he wasn't all that for the Jets last year either.

We must have really not wanted Coleman. Just 3.6 mil year one with no Signing Bonus ... so he can be cut after the following season without any dead money.

Tevin Coleman's contract with the 49ers is worth just $8.5 million over two years.
It was originally reported as a $10 million contract, but that is the max value ($10.6 million). Even worse, the deal does not come with a signing bonus and pays him just $3.6 million in year one, giving the 49ers the option to cleanly get out after one season. The team-friendly deal means the 49ers should be able to keep Jerick McKinnon is they so choose.

Maybe he didn't want to play in Philly? Shanahan was was his OC a couple of years ago so perhaps it was a comfort thing for him, go to play for his old coach

Maybe, but that's a horrible deal for him. I can't believe he got zero guaranteed money other than the already low 3.6 total for one year.

They weren't 4-12 because of him. I will admit I don't know a l to about this but he seems like someone we could use if the price is right.

I was all for Crowell coming to us a few years back. Now....not so much.

As for Coleman....I just think he is overrated. And even I think thats a honey of a deal. There is something to this.

He's really pretty average all around. Honestly I think he's mckinnonish and I like neither, but I think Shanahan is really good so we'll see.
