His evidence was a few bad hair choices and some tattoos.

I hired a kid once with a lot of tattoos and those IMO hideous stretched out ears things. The kid was an honest, hard worker. Always on time and always wiling to stay late if I needed him. He had a 'normal' looking wife and a beautiful young child. Appeared to be a great father.
I was sad as hell when he left.

The only guy I know personally that was even close to being considered a lightweight thug that made it all the way to the NBA was JR Rider. Unlike most people from my origins he was not born into it but he strived to attain thugdom. He could come off as all american as apple pie.

It really isn't even a matter of opinion, it's pretty much a matter of fact.


Anyone from CBS knows how much I have singled out and praised Beasley for NOT being like most NBA players.
He was always the player to volunteer and show up for kids camps, charity events, season ticket holder events , etc,,
He was the one guy who would go beyond the call of duty and make sure every kid got a picture, an autograph, a conversation, etc...
