I didn't call him a thug. I said he looked like a freak.

I'm not judging people who are 5'3" and I have no doubt there are some who could lay me out. I am just saying what I think would happen if he was 5'3". I was talking about what OTHER people would think of him if he were that short with his hair and tattoos.

Also, where did I say that you called him a thug?
I said that what you said didn't make him a thug, which was the original accusation by the OP.

I will agree that sometimes intent and translations get confusing here, but it works both ways.

The truth is that 99% of all NBA players have a tatoo or more on their bodies, and so does a lot of people now period. Tatoos aka your colors is no longer exclusive to thugs, gang bangers or other. As far as their hair is concerned, I have worked very closely with an organization(non-profit) that is 99% african americans and most of them like a wide variety of hair styles - it really is part of their culture. The women seem to like hats more then any of the caucasions that I grew up around as well

I don't think tats are the problem. They guy the OP posted looks like he hasn't had a shower in weeks, his hair is a royal mess.

The Bird man's tattoos are extensive but it is the crazy looking hair that catches my eye more than the tats.

Thats hilarious!!! Beasley is no thug. My guess is that anyone that calls him a thug never really met one.

I have yet to see a real thug in the NBA. Trust me they self destruct long before reaching the pro's.

The word thug is so overused in the NBA. I seen real thugs in my life and trust me no player in the NBA is a thug. You can't call a player a thug based on how they look or just because they had a few flagrant fouls

I read recently that Beasley was accused of sexual assault. If true, obviously my opinion would change.

It's probably just some chic trying to get some cash because the story has died.

Chances are if Beasley walked into your office for an interview he would not be wearing shorts and a basketball jersey right? He would be looking sharp in a suit and his hair would not look like a hot mess.
