I get it though. Even though mobsters who wear suits and are thugs, steve Kerr wouldn't be looked at as a thug. Even though there are plenty of thugs on the police force, a picture of a cop wouldnt be looked at as a thug. But a basketball player in his jersey with tattoos and a natural afro that is normal, is looked at as a thug. Basketball and football players fight, then they are thugs, but hockey and baseball, its just part of the game. Welcome to America!

It is BS because if it doesn't say who they are it says who they aspire to be or who they identify with.

There is no difference in "Tat thug 'looking' man" than the dude with the swastika because both can be good guys who were stirred wrong but none the less it was a chose they made to identify themselves to one degree or another at one time or another.

As far as applying for teaching, no, I wouldn't hire him. The difference in my opinion is that his identity is hate driven. He knows what his tatoos stand for. He is free to put them on his body. But the vast majority of society would want nothng to do with him. Beasleys tattoos are him expressing things probably important to him. Not meant to offend anyone.
His body, his right to color it any way he wants.

My son chooses his professors by ratings, rankings, etc. When studying the choices on line, he isn't looking at their picture. If he selected this person, it would mean he was the best qualified to give him the education he is paying for.

Open your mind for a minute, because I really do think that you are being closed minded about several topics discussed in this thread.

Let me ask you this...

Do you for a minute think that your Grandparents could have been spared if others in their time were sensitive to what others thought about their beliefs?

Your callus and insensitive thought process to others belief system regarding Jesus Christ and the picture you displayed is in the same frame of mind IMO allows the seeds to take hold of such atrocities that took the very lives of your lineage.

Some, such as you and yours, should be well aware of these seeds of doom yet I find your displayed ignorance and attitude regarding this subject appalling to say the least.

We can only hope that this is no more than pure bravado on your part and you are unaware of your impact in the big picture of things of these matters.
