Is there no where to talk about the Combine or Draft on this site?

If Al Davis were still alive he trade his entire roster for a guy that ran 4.22

His quote in response to that was classic...

"I really can't swim that well. And I don't have a boat, so you know, I had to run in Nikes."
He'll be able to buy an island soon enough. Nike Island

Lots of TE talent this year. It will be interesting to see where the go in the draft. A lot of hybrid style H backs that will need some work to be even a semi effective blocker. Unless teams are looking for Jimmy Graham types then they have tge pick of the litter.

Haason Reddick having himself a day at the combine... 4.52s 40, 11'1" broad jump, 36" vertical.

Being compared a lot to Ryan Shazier. Same height, weight & reach measurables.

Shazier's combine results: 4.38s 40 (pro day), 10'10" broad jump, 42" vertical.

Went from a 3rd Rd prospect to late 1st, possible 2nd.
This is going to be a great draft. Talent up and down as long as you don't need a QB or O-Lineman.

Agreed! Going to be some sort of defensive revolution with this class... Loads of D-line, LB & DB prospects. Only a handful from each group really stick out, but the pools are deep!

Yep lots of WRs and TEs so this draft is likely not going to follow any pattern.

I think he is pretty solidly a 2nd rounder because he is going to get the undersized label which might put him in coverage mostly.

You're 100% right on O-Lineman. For QB, I think the draft is bad if you want a guy for 2017 but above average if you're looking for someone for 2018 or beyond.

DE, RB, CB and to a lesser extent TE are totally stacked, though.

I'm just not impressed with any of the QBs, even as projects. I'm sure one or two will become average at best. Having said that Brady was pick # 199 so anything is possible.
I'm really impressed with the TE group. Granted most are a hybrid type so if a team is looking for the Gronk/Bennett style of in line blocking/receiver type that will take some development. To me this is the best TE group I recall seeing.

Nobody is ever impressed with the QBs.

The reality is that the QB has to step up whoever it is. You can see that with Brady. He obviously wants to win at all costs at all times. The average fan is just never going to see it from college play and combines but you can't win football games without a smart QB with an arm, pocket presence, etc.

This is the best TE class in recent memory, I'll give you that.
