The thing that pisses me off about the iPad is you have to buy all these accessories for it, but it's $300 cheaper than the Xoom.

tablets are relatively young, and in the near future (a year or so) will have better processors, that allow them to function like today's high end laptops..

they might be convenient, but I'd wait.. much like I will wait for 3DTVs that don't require glasses

I definitely don't see the point. Two of the guys I was hanging with for the first round of the tourney had theirs. It's a fucking smart phone...with a bigger screen...only you can't text or take calls(right?). Sure, they had them streaming the games...but we also had a laptop running the projector....which was lighting up a 126 inch screen or something like that. I played with one of the IPads for about a minute and made this fateful decision.... I have no use for a tablet. At all.

I also would never want to do the amount of composition I do on an anything but a standard qwerty keyboard.
